AK5C: Is not an Kalash for those wondering, the name comes from Swedish Automatkarbin (automatic carbine), hence the Ak abreviation. The gun itself is the FN FNC
@osynlighetsmantel Жыл бұрын
To add to this: What Ferguson says about the C denoting the AK5C as a carbine is incorrect, as @the7observer notes, the K in AK does this. the AK5C is just a modernized version of the AK5 with added features such as picatinny rails for optics and accessories, last round bolt hold open and an adjustable stock.
@TehFrenchy29 Жыл бұрын
@@osynlighetsmantel Yeah the "C" is just to denote it's the next iterative variant of the weapon, like how many companies will use a number or year. The Ak5 was the original adoption, the Ak5B had an optical sight as standard, the Ak5C is fairly modular and takes a bunch of different optional accessories. There's also an Ak5D that's a compact version of the weapon for greater mobility and easier vehicle access while still using a rifle caliber but even that's not really the "carbine version" it's more like turning an M4 into a Mk18.
@cherenkov_blue Жыл бұрын
Funnily enough, the operating system is still similar
@the7observer Жыл бұрын
@@osynlighetsmantel ah yes well pointed, I forgot that the C is a version designation like the Ak 5B (marksman) and Ak 5D (shortened barrel, most likely an 10 inch). So C is not carbine but like verion A, B, C, D
@dark2023-1lovesoni Жыл бұрын
In most other gun nomenclature, the C or K suffix USUALLY indicates a shortened version of a longer gun. C most often stands for Carbine/Compact (or equivalent words in other languages, which are usually cognates). K is more of a Germanic language suffix, usually standing for the term Kurz (short). The AK5c DOES have a shorter barrel than the traditional AK5, so it's an extremely common mistake to make. Especially since in most other standard gun terminology a shorter variant will usually have a C suffix on the name. Even the C in FNC stands for Carbine, because it was a shorter and updated version of the FN CAL (which is a lightened and simplified FAL with a new bolt locking system).

Another thing to note about the emergency reload is that you can also do it with a full mag and your teammate can actually pick it up if they are using the same weapon. so if neither of you are a class with an ammo pack but someone has spare mags, you can give a mag to them which has actually happened a few times with my friends. Haven't tested if you can do it with weapons that share ammunition and mag types but still a cool detail.
@TehFrenchy29 Жыл бұрын
I believe it has been dev-confirmed that picking up dropped magazines only works if the player picking up the magazine uses the exact same weapon as the player who dropped the magazine -- can't pick up M4A1 magazines for your HK416, they have to both be M4s or 416s for it to work. Simplified and "nerfed" compared to real life, and something they may possibly add in the future, but also even more complicated for a game that's surprisingly deep considering the team size and budget.

I've recently tried SCP 5K and found the weapon system quite interesting. It has press checks and mag checks (one is done when hitting the reload button with full ammunition and the other is done by holding it regardless of ammo count), a low ready button, a large number of sights, an equippable IR laser to go with your night vision (which illuminates specific portions of guard uniforms) and even a revolver capable of switching between single and double action. Also magazines removed early stay in inventory with their specific number of rounds left inside. The devs take into account the rounds used by each weapon and reflect that in stopping power and recoil. A customized MP5 might be fun, but a SCAR 17 hits significantly harder.

7:14 As a matter of fact it's actually how you put the sling around gun when you are moving in laying position - In RAF training you are supposed to hold it with your right hand only in laying position, so you either grab the gab by the end of a sling or wrap it around to only grab the middle section. The latter is more beneficial since there are less chanes that sling will be grabbed or might stuck on a branch or something. Plus I definitely saw people doing it with the organic belt, just because it's no really that adjustable and gets in the way of shooting and moving. So yeah, they aren't supposed to do so, but some situations are demanding that.
