@@christianmaxey6719 to be fair plastic engine parts seem like a terrible idea. Everybody knows that plastic has a very low melting point, now I'm not saying it can't be done. As It probably can but only if the plastic is treated with maybe a heat resistant coating or it was polymer base instead of generic plastic. The original point still stands though. Handguns made of 3D printer plastic will work, as it had before, but it has been proven that plastic cannot contain the pressures of 7.62 or 50.

Jonathan Ferguson probably won't see this but bolt action AKs are a thing without being a custom piece. At least here in Austria and probably also in Germany. Interordnance R94: Basically AKs without the gas-system. They don't even have a special handle or something, just the normal AK charging handle that you need to pull back after every shot and they're chambered in 7.62x39. Might have gotten a bit less popular after they changed the law in Austria a couple years back, making normal self-loading AK variants easier to obtain.

9:16 The only other time I can think of this occurring for different reloads depending on how many rounds you've used, is in COD: Ghosts with the one shotgun. It's a nice attention to detail but it results in more animation work having to be done. It's a cool idea, but it's up to the developers to determine if the extra amount of time to pull it off is worth it.

What would make more sense for the Longbow to do more damage and still fire from an AK platform would be to chamber it in .366TKM, basically a necked out 7.62x39, think .300 Blackout for AKs.

Just a slight detail, I believe that the gun the KVD is based on is actually the Chuvakin SVCH. I believe it might be the western name, SVK, but I know that Battlefield 2042 called it SVK so I think that might be in Jonathan’s mind.

There is a law currently trying to pass in California to put 3d printer purchases behind a background check, due to their easy of use to make firearm parts. I wouldn't doubt if the gov went to them in an attempt to mislead the public in what they can do.

@@verakoo6187 yeah I don't think the government and activision are attempting to mislead people in concert with each other. I think that 3D printing is a hot topic, and depicting it in a way where it basically looks like you can magically make a fire arm out of mostly plastics sensationalizes the tech in a way that could frighten or mislead people further drawing attention to the product in a really big way.

The “SVA 545” is definitely based on the French AN-94 but so loosely that I could only tell because of the two round hyperburst feature and the barrel. The mag is not canted, and the rest of the gun is cobbled together from the other AK knockoffs in the game.

The C-Clamp hold is somewhat new, really only becoming commonplace in the last ~5-10 years. Sometimes it's called Thumb-Over-Bore. It is used to try and tame muzzle-flip, its' actual effectiveness is debated. More common in sport/recreational shooting than military doctrine, though you will see some SOF guys doing it.@@ivybeard8337

Different types of lowers with on the same weapons system makes sense. Anyone can buy a 3d printer, and print one from a .stl file they got from a forum and at least in the US buy all the parts that aren’t legally a firearm. For sure wouldn’t use it for anything full auto or particularly high powered though.

As someone who does 3d printing and Injection molding for a living. Just a heads up PLA probably wouldn't be used for 3d printing gun parts by any sort of professional company, if it was 3d printed (and not injection molded) it would use something like Carbon Fiber, Nylon, or something of the sort, I also know people tend to use Annealable PLA's or HSPLA for gun parts. I think it would be extremely possible from a government funded production.
