Yes, these are good ideas It seems like a no brainer to show him bulletgrubber but I didn’t think of it either lol That’s an interesting oversight, because it’s so cool but also unique to this game. Maybe next time…?
@kykiske3212 жыл бұрын
There is absolutely nothing strange about the technique of reloading the bullet after firing a round. If you fire a bolt action gun, your hand is not going to pass the bullet automatically like a robot... A bolt action rifle fires and to pass the next bullet you have to pull the bolt back to eject the empty shell, and there you decide if you want to pass the next bullet by closing the bolt, or if you didn't pull it all the way back the bolt you can place a single new bullet in the chamber to close it and shoot.
@jadenbrooks61152 жыл бұрын
@@kykiske321 I'm totally aware of that. However, hunt showdown is one of the only games I have personally played where you can perform this technique. He specifically mentioned enjoying when games, rather than just giving you an animation, allowed you to more finely control the features on a firearm. Therefore, I thought he'd find it interesting that hunt showdown included this feature.
@siegeart25552 жыл бұрын
@@kykiske321 most games with bolt actions like the ones in hunt, whenever you reload you do a full reload and magically keep the bullets. In hunt, if you do a partial reload with a bolt action you'll lose 1-2 rounds unless you have bulletgrubber. Losing ammo also happens on the lever action Winchester and Mauser with partial reload unless you have the perk bullet grubber. Where you catch the ammo being ejected and save it

As far as the top rear receiver marking on the auto 5, I have several that were among my grandad's duck guns. One of them, from when he shipped them to New Orleans form Belgium in 1922. The 16ga is marked as such in this location. Our current theory is that as this was before FN actually started importing them in 16ga in 1923, the port of Orleans required all non commercial imports to be marked. Given that this one also had an extended magazine tube installed by an official FN smith in Brussels, and the marking lacks the yellow and green gold inlay, we think this was a special request he made to the factory. Granted this is all form 100 year old paperwork, and a highschool level of French....

Hi Gamespot! A quick suggestion: let Jonathan in on some context for some of these guns before the videos or in the notes. For example, the Uppercut is a revolver that shoots full rifle rounds - what does he think about that? Also, I consider it a war crime that you've not shown him the reloads with the Bulletgrubber perk, especially on the Berthier, where the animation changes depending on how many rounds are left. Also the fact that without Bulletgrubber you actually lose unspent ammo, which not a lot of games account for when you, say, throw out a non-empty mag. Hope to see something like that and definitely hope to see more Hunt videos!

Hey, Jonathan! FYI, Crown & King > Brow-ning. I think the only "reference" is that it sounds and looks similar. Also, you indeed CAN clean the guns in the game! I'd also like to add my own input on that gun as an owner of one - Firstly, the gun should lock on empty. Secondly, with how it's portrayed in the game, it would have to be a 1950-2000 variant, which has a split carrier, because the character just inserts the cartridges inside like you'd do with any other tube fed shotgun. The original, 1900-1950 variant has a single piece carrier, which means that the bolt release button has to be held down if you want to insert cartridges in the tube. Otherwise, the carrier won't move out of the way.

I would looooove to see an updated / third look at Hunt: Showdown. There have been lots of new weapons added! They LISTENED to Jonathan's recommendation on the Martin-Henry Harston Magazine and added it to the game! along with a Springfield Krag, a drilling combination gun, a derringer firing penny-filled buckshot shells.... a Bergmann No. 1 with a suppressor!! You could also showcase how some of the guns can be operated with fanning and levering traits.

Jonathan: and when you break the stock this thing becomes much more handy but a lot harder to aim me looking at vanguard: right...

They’ve now added the quick loader for the martini Henry to the game as well, love how they take Jonathan’s words to heart

Minor error in the KZbin chapters: it says Mauser C69, not C96. Just thought I'd point that out, I think you can edit it afterwards

At 5:00 Jonathan is literally describing the game Receiver (2). I'm amazed that they haven't done that game yet.

I already knew Hunt clearly had an awesome team behind it, this just cemented that.

Please show Jonathan the weapons in the Killzone series. I'd love to see if he finds them cursed or cool.

Especially the Sickle shotgun, which has two barrels and can fire Regular and explosive buckshot.

Great video, amazing content as always! I love his overthinking moments, feel free to dive into that! Question: What's up with the framerate on his camera? The gameplay footage is normal but anytime Jonathan is on camera it's almost motion sickness inducing how bad the framerate is. His other videos aren't that bad, did something happen with this footage? You can REALLY tell at 8:54 with the side by side.

5:04 here's a fun point about many of the bolt action guns. If you want to top up your Lebel or Mosin, you open the bolt and lose whatever bullet was in the chamber. However, if you just fired and do not release the fire button, you can press reload and you'll eject the spent casing before topping up, losing no ammo.

That was awesome! I love hunt showdown and its a pleasure to see such feedback and devs actually using this info to improve their guns. By the way, I would really love to see Star Citizen infantry guns reviewed. They are trying to make realistic sci-fi-ish weapons, it would be interesting to see how successful are they)
