I love to see high profile gamers play games that are relatively unknown, even if they don't have many\great reviews. It can result in a huge visibility boost that those games probably wouldn't have received otherwise. And in the case of Goo Keeper it's fantastic to see devs implement much of the feedback you gave. That is a win-win because it should translate to more sales and better overall reviews, which is a ... what's the opposite of a vicious circle? 😉 I've seen lots of great games become lost and unknown because the devs are not brilliant at self promotion or sometimes they don't have the motivation to add the kind of polish their game needs to be more successful. So it's awesome when well respected people like you, fireborn, give back like this! 😍

Last game Fireborn: Oh God! God: Don't bother me until you'll have finished! Also, regarding Infernax - there's so much more to the game apart from a single walkthrough. Quest branching results not only in different rewards but literally in 2 different walkthroughs (especially if going for extreme good or evil). But the most unique part is that the more you play (and the more times you complete the game) the more endings you can unlock. The stupid demon behind the pentagram seal is only a meager gatekeeper to other final bosses you can defeat for true endings (for extra good, bad and in between ones ... and the very-very true one to boot:)). If you read this comment, Fireborn, - just try looking through the available bestiary in the game to see how much there is still to explore and experience.

Rabi-Ribi is absolutely amazing for both boss design and world exploration/non-linearity, and it's one of the most replayable games in the genre with the sheer number of difficulty options, the 0% game, the different ways to path to everything, and so on. Game is absolutely packed with content, too. I would maybe knock a point off for the normal enemy designs not being particularly fun to fight, though, especially on higher difficulties. I just finished 100% it and I absolutely agree, this game's amazing. I have had a handful of crashes, but usually you don't lose any progress because it frequently autosaves. Biggest issues are sometimes it can be hard to complete quests and there's a lot of unmarked things happening on the map... Apparently that was fixed in an update, but sometimes you can still run into unmarked things because the main map markers they added are directly related to quests. One achievement is the aftermath to a quest line and the final location is not marked on the map.

I loved this Video! It's awesome seeing you playing some lesser-known games, and for me do put a few more games on my wishlist, haha. Played bloody hell and the goat game already, and I'll fosho look at all of them! If you do this again, I want to suggest a BANGER of a metroidvania: GRIME (2021) by Akupara Games. It has some striking parallels to hollow knight (which is why I bought it), but it definitely stands on it's own. It took me about 30 hours to 100% it, so I'm sure a god gamer like you will fly through it lol. It starts off slow like most metroidvanias, but not actually SLOW slow. You immediately have invincible dash, and the starting area has a couple of armor pieces and wholly unique weapons. It has an awesome 2.5D art style and vibe; there's a lot of anatomy horror elements and the story/lore has the right amount of mystery and depth. The combat is super responsive and satisfying, the bosses are all really great, and there's a lot of unique weapons and builds. The combat also centers around you parrying things with your black hole head (oh, yeah, you play as a BLACK HOLE, which is dope), and it's pretty satisfying/forgiving in case parrying isn't your thing. For me, this really elevates the flow of combat along with other abilities you get. The world has a lot of variety, and there's a healthy amount of secrets (as in, whole optional AREAS like kingdom's edge). The platforming can be hit or miss for some people, but I really liked it; it has a certain flow, and there's a couple of unique abilities that I don't see often in other games of the type. And finally, the music absolutely SLAPS. Dark souls-like Orchestral tracks that are really beautiful, and the ambiance is really well done. I loved Hollow Knight, so I picked up this game last year since it seemed similar, but darker and weirder. It also leans more into ACTUALLY being souls-like past the simple stuff, with it having consumables, estus flasks, and stat specs. I'm suggesting it now because it actually gets it's final update - Parting shade/definitive edition - later this month! This'll be the third free DLC it's received before the devs move on to it's sequel (sounds familiar lol), and the devs spent a lot of time to iron out the bugs and add new features like bosses, areas, and NG+, AND they're active in the community. Seriously, you need to play GRIME, or at least check it out before it's update. It’s one of my favorite games I’ve ever played, on par with HK to me. I'd love if it got more attention, and I think it'll really fit you :) (P.S, to anyone else reading this, Check it out too! It's criminally underrated - though admittedly not as underrated as some games here - for the amount of content game has, It's on PC, Xbox, and PS, and it's getting a switch port with the final DLC!)

I dig that Rusted Moss is Midsummer's night Dream in postapocalypses with grappling hook. It's just neat ❤

I actually really enjoyed goo keeper. The devs took my feedback and made some great changes. It does many things very well the further you go in the game. There’s definitely some visual Janine’s but if you can look past it, it’s a really fun time

Recommendation, try out Tunic, there is no game like it, but If you want to play it, do not spoil your self, or you will lose all these special aaaaaaa! moments ;)

One of the people who worked on Pseudoregalia was also one of the devs for a 2D metroidvania game called Vernal Edge, which is pretty solid.

Blasphemous 1 and 2 are both incredible. Defiantly recommend if you continue this series!

i remember he talked about those in his Rusted Moss playthrough. He praised the artwork, calling it one of the very best in the genre, but called the actual gameplay kinda lackluster for his taste.

I love how you picked relatively unknown games instead of the ones EVERYONE knows like Bloodstained, Ender Lillies, Deaths Gambit, Blasphemous etc.

Aeterna Noctis is a MUST play for any Metroidvania fan. One of the best I've ever played. Would love to see you try it out.

I swear whenever I see a new Hornet Silksong thumbnail in my recommendations I always get excited on an instinctive level then disappointed when I see it has nothing to do with the release date.
