Wilderness Paradise! Backpacking & Wild Camping With My Menagerie Of Pack Goats & Dogs Trout Fishing

Paradise found! Exploring these high mountain lakes never gets old! Especially with the crew I run with. I guess goats are good for more than just packing my gear, They definitely keep me entertained. Bill is absolutely hilarious with the funny faces he makes. He reminds me of Jar Jar Binks from Star Wars with his floppy ears and the way he moves. Levi is a bit too serious, but sure is Loyal. Of course Ash and Juni are with me almost all the time, so it wouldn't feel right without them around.
In accordance with fire restrictions I used the gas burner attachment in my Titanium 3 inch Firebox Nano Stove & X-Case to cook up a delicious fresh caught cutthroat trout with red onions garlic and shredded hash brown potatoes. A bacon and egg breakfast and a dinner of pork tenderloin medallions (Fried in bacon fat) a sauté of garlic onion and green beans. I was even able to use the gas attachment to bake orange rolls for a evening dessert and the next morning's breakfast!

After recently watching some of your older videos from 4 or 5 years ago, whilst your cooking has always been excellent, you seem to have made it a lot easier by developing and using your frying pan, chopping board and plate set. It really works well and removes the balancing problems and issues with using pans, lids and plates that don't fit together. Once again, a quality film. I've even considered taking up fishing again. Haven't been since 1979.

Your Bill reminds me of a story. My great grandfather's unit - 5th Battalion, 1st Canadian Army, in WW1 picked up a goat on the train ride to eastern Canada before sailing on to Britian. He marched with the soldiers past Stonehenge. Then they kept him through basic training and took him to the Western Front. He was gassed at Ypres, consorted with Colonel John McRae (In Flander's Fields), and took part in many battles. Sgt. Bill was promoted and demoted several times. Once for eating the company roll; another time for assaulting the company commander! He also played the hero by head butting 3 soldiers out of the path of an artillary shell. Much decorated and honoured, even wounded, he joined the Battalion back to Saskatchewan and rejoined the farm and his owner. After his passing, he was mounted and is now on display in the local museum. He even had a movie made about him. To Sgt. Bill - we salute you. 🎖🍁💚
