@@ji8044 Jesus warned against sin, homosexuality is a sin
@ChrisVink-b5bАй бұрын
@@ji8044 I am guessing the majority of Americans thus far in the 21st century have come to believe all scripture in the Bible related to homosexuality is morally evil. No part of American culture has exercised the part in Leviticus that describes homosexual behavior as capital punishment. That has not been practiced for a long time. Justic Alito, as part of the June 15, 2020 SCOTUS opinion wrote a long list of laws against homosexual behavior that existed in America in the 20th century. There is no scripture showing Jesus speaking about homosexuality. There 's scripture showing the Apostle Paul speaking of homosexual behavior as a sin against God. The Apostle Paul knew, met and talked to all of the apostles who knew Jesus closely before the crucifixion. If Paul had been saying something Jesus did not believe, it is rational to think that the other Apostles would have criticized Paul and said he was wrong for arguing and writing that homosexuality is sin. The Jews of the time period of Jesus Christ thought homosexuality was a sin, and Becket makes the case that Jesus had been preaching to the Jews, and did not need to say anything about it. I guess so far in the 21 st century there has been an increasing desire of Americans to have liberty from the control of their DNA and the choice made in it, and thus there is the desire to be of the opposite gender, and it is called transgenderism. Same sex marriage rights speak of a desire from liberty from historic rules of marriage. Those in the homosexual lifestyle, and in same sex marriages are dependent on heterosexual couples/sex encounters to get children through adoption, or to rely on contracts with women to get pregnant and then have children that way. That is how Anderson Cooper of CNN had to get children to become a parent, from the CNN report I saw. Nature has not given those in the homosexual(gay) lifestyle the natural power to procreate, so because of their dependency on heterosexuals, having children will always be more expensive. When networks like the PBS NewsHour, CBS News, or ABC News cover a topic like this, they do not speak about any detail of the Bible. People who have gotten authority and power in American society these days want liberty from the biological definition of gender, want liberty from the choice of their DNA for their gender, and believe that part of the Christian scripture is morally evil itself. I personally, have been going through a process of being psychologically destroyed.

@ji8004, Read the New Testament passage in Matthew 19:4-6. The religious leaders were trying to trap Jesus, so they asked him about divorce. Jesus answered them: “Have you not read that He who created them at the beginning ‘made them male and female’, and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.” Jesus was speaking to religious leaders who knew God’s law against homösexûality, so He didn’t need to address it. However, in this passage, Jesus verifies that God created marriage to be between one man and one woman. By stating this He also verifies what marriage isn’t, meaning it can never be between two people of the same sëx, nor can a marriage be between any combination of more than one man and more than one woman. Respectfully, if you have a problem with God’s laws, then you’re gonna have to take it up with Jesus.

Praising God for your courageous stance!! You embolden us all!! Just went to a screening of a film by Nicholas Ma “ Leap of Faith”. It was sponsored by Fuller Theological Seminary. I got to meet the director as well as producers & professors from the film school. It’s a documentary. It started out being about a group of pastors in Grand Rapids, MI, trying to foster community and bridge gaps, but quickly devolved into this very thing you’re discussing. The affirmation of not just gay and women pastors, but also transgenderism for children. It was disheartening as the lesbian (married) Methodist pastor essentially became the hero of the film. And the pastor who was struggling with acceptance of such things eventually gave up their stance. 😞. Most telling, it was 12 pastors, multi denominations, races, several women as well, they did an exercise where everyone stood on a line and were asked a difficult question, then depending on your answer you moved ahead to agree and behind to disagree with the statement. One question posed was, (paraphrasing) “Do you believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ”. 3 of the 12 disagreed. 4 of the twelve disagreed with officiating a gay marriage. All of the professors and students at the screening were ecstatic!! Fuller has gone completely woke. Although I’m a conservative Christian, they assumed I was like minded and I got to hear their complete repudiation and dismissal of conservative Christianity. How do we know we’re in the last days? The director was meant to speak with a writer from Christianity Today the next day, and I was pleasantly surprised to hear they were challenging him on several fundamental precepts of our faith being violated by the film. He was wondering how to answer that claim. I told him, you’re a documentarian, you follow the story where ever it goes🤷🏽♀️. The Christian community needs to see that this is where we are. The lesbian pastor was there to speak…she is a lovely person, but we cannot affirm what God despises. Just as I cannot affirm an adulterer, or a pedophile, because they say, “I was born this way”. Ultimately we are all sinners in need of a savior and the acknowledgment of that requires confessing we are sinners as well.

What a breath of fresh air in a world gone mad! One thing I have noticed is that Christians have been using political terms (conservative vs liberal) to define what "kind" of Christian they are. Jesus defines who a true believer is and considers people either "sheep" or "goats", "wheat" or "tares". There are secondary issues, of course, but anything that God considers a sin, can't be. Language is so important - we lose the argument from the beginning when we use the world's definitions instead of biblical definitions.

Wow - what you did Aaron was an act of courage and integrity and sound Christian character that has become so rare. You story is so powerful and it oerfectkbreveals the method that Satan always uses to bring about deception and untimely death. He did it in the garden with an apple or better yet the enticement for God’s children to doubt the heart of God and his warnings and also to decide they should use their agency to exercise God-like powers and choose for themselves what tree they will eat from. It always starts out with small suggestions and tiny departures or casting doubt upon what God “really said”. And once people begin to take the small bits of bait, then the full turning away is almost inevitable. I wish we had heard your powerful words 2 or 3 decades ago when the falling away has started from many across the Christian leadership prospective. Your words today are wonderful but a bit too late to save the institutions - it’s like closing the barn door after all the horses have already wandered off. Perhaps the Lord is done with these failed institutions that are more apostate than. Christian anyhow. We are in the end days and what matters now is preaching to and encouraging the remnant of believers. Mad I heard your interview I just kept thinking of this passage: Luke 18:8 New King James Version (NKJV) I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth? God will avenge those wicked leaders who persecuted his true saints and those who held to His Truths. Those cowardly false believers who will be shown to be goats and separated will receive in then their due punishment. And that same passage speaks of your were words and the rareness of any fellow believers who agree with you and hold fast to God’s truth. When God returns will he find any or many who have actual faith on the earth? I have alway taken this to be a rhetorical statement they implies that, indeed, in the end times there will be few - very few - that have true faith. Bless you for being one of the few and for being bold enough to speak truth . Likewise for Mr Beckett.

So sorry this happened to him! The real good thing about all this LGBTQ+ awareness is that we need to be far more inclusive, compassionate and understanding. No one arrives at the age of puberty, and chooses a Gay lifestyle that I know of. It’s pretty real. The “challenge” is that we must not compromise our beliefs either regardless, of which religion we happen to follow, which have been passed down for generations from a divine source. Your episode with Joseph Nicolosi Jr. clinical psychologist gives me compassion and hope for a better future. I am still trying to digest everything but it’s promising. I loved the fact that his father got into this area of study, not by trying to change or judge the Gay community, but just listening and finding the patterns. Connecting the dots. What I do find disturbing is the level of blind obedience and compliance that many institutions including churches have submitted themselves to. It’s almost like they have succumbed to pressure from somewhere else to conform. I do know that many corporations were under immense pressure to conform as well. Financial pressure. Thank you so much to your guest for speaking out!!

Glad for this message. Becket? Do you see "the great apostasy" in Revelation as a falling away of Christians? I ask, because it's not the world that is the problem here. It is the very church. It seems that all are abandoning scripture as fast as they possibly can. Thanks to the guest teacher/preacher for his courage in telling us in your show what his experience has been. I find it very telling and also quite universal wherever church's have refused to follow God's word.

It's really quite saddening to see so many people who subscribe to the idea that there's an entity, somewhere, who has such specific parameters for "love", that it justifies any and all actions they themselves commit in the name of that being, no matter how petty, how selfish, how heartless, how vicious, how evil the action.

Becket, thank you for sharing this video about persecution and being there for the least of these My brethren: "for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me." Matthew 25:31-46 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’ “Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

I'm 25 minutes in. 14 months, I officially left my spiritually abusive church and the wolf in sheep's clothing pastor. I do not say those words lightly. I had no vocabulary for the abuse cycle that I and others had been in until 14 months ago when a sister and brother in Christ helped me see that what I was going through was more than wrong, especially as a widow. It was one of the top 3 hardest choices I had ever had to make. I really thought we had the best church on earth and would never have left. The conflict, confusion, and exhaustion I would blame myself for; as if there was something wrong with me. I never would think it was the environment and leader causing all these symptoms the past 10 1/2 years of my life. For others who left, it was even longer. Because of the bully like and spiritually abusive culture and mentality, which I also took part in, I just don't want to treat people like that again. Without remembering where God brought me out from. Like subconsciously, everyone else was wrong, and we were right. Even though God does right; He is righteous. I don't want to compromise or water down the Truth. I thought I was such a hard core Christian, but I'm pretty sure i was a hard core jerk. I just don't fully understand what the Good News is and how to share Him without putting people in another form of bondage I've called "churchianity." It's not necessarily a place. It's an attitude. You see, spiritual abuse is and always has been so rampant. The Lord is being so gracious to expose the blasphemy in the "church", which flows in two directions; one of which is being discussed in this video. I guess what I'm trying to ask and express is that I need help to follow Jesus. It's like I'm a baby Christian who just wants to know God and be discipled by Him, and to speak, walk, and see like Him. I'm so ashamed of how I've misrepresented Him. I don't know how to share the truth in love. That is so courageous. I don't know how to teach my kids or truly say, "Follow me as I follow Christ." The system isn't following Christ. I did that far too long. I'm still detoxing from that and from myself. It's what we had slowly conformed to the past decade. I can't make the religious happy, and I can't make sinners happy(they are one and the same). Do you all understand how to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with God? All while His yoke is upon you and His yoke is easy and His burden is light? Or is this something we learn the whole time we are His? And guys, I was a false convert until I was born again at 29 in my living room while reading "How To Bring Your Children To Christ, and Keep Them There, Avoiding the Tragedy of False Conversation" by Ray Comfort, who I had no idea who he was when I read that book. I've been born again for 14 1/2 years, and it seems like I've only followed the Good Shepherd a few steps. I just want people to know and follow our Savior and not be bound and broken in a system. Just for Christ to be lifted high and His glorious Body to function how He created us to. I knew the system well. I need to know God well. They are not the same thing. #saynototheHarlot #saynotoothergods #sayyestoJesus #HolySpirithelp #rescuedagain And I said I so many times. Sigh.

The way to get to know God is through His Word, read the Bible and ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you and God will give you His desires. Your relationship with God is personal, try not allow what others are doing to affect you.

@SachelleCambria That's the wild thing. I do study the Bible. I just didn't recognize all Jesus warnings when it came to wicked religious leaders. I thought they were simply self righteous like I was when Jesus rescued me from myself in my living room. I didn't realize Jesus was exposing spiritual abuse with the Sadducees, Pharisees, scribes, etc. I'm reading a chronological bible currently. Jesus is just about to send out the 12 disciples! :)
