Nice one Tanya, I do like the Cube apart from its terrible audio integration with my Denon amp. Also, why isn't there a proper ethernet port, instead of that useless USB-2 dongle? It's not like they didn't have room for one, cheapskates!

I agree, there is definitely some room for improvement, but for the power and price (when on sale) it's a pretty impressive streaming device in my opinion. I had a 4k firestick But I invested in a 2nd Generation cube and I wouldn't go back to firestick The cube is so much better The only thing I will say is when you first try to update your cube you need to use a wire from your cube to router and update your cube before you can use the WiFi on the cube

I use Nvidia Shield TV Pro units because no bloatware & Fire devices must be connected to internet or they are useless. PLEX or movies on attached storage for android boxes still function with no internet.

I got the new max and being honest, besides the fact that it can easily be expanded in memory, I find the 4K firestick better, maybe my max is a defective but the remote control is less responsive, and I have exactly the same apps on both firesticks.

I have just ordered a Fire Cube in the Amazon Black Friday sale. I don't have router with Wi-Fi 6 and with having to buy an ethernet adaptor for the stick i decided that with the sale price, the cube would be the better option Your comparison was very useful in showing the key differeneces between the stick and cube. Fingers crossed that my first fire device works without any setup issues.
