Wait, wait, wait. This game takes place in 1989. The exclusionary rule of illegally gathered evidence was ratified as a constitutional right during Mapp v. Ohio, in 1961. Therefore, unless it was public knowledge that they were going to be wiretapped and/or they waived those rights in signing onto the job, the tape confessing to the arson and the transcripts for the conversations would be inadmissible in US courts. Meaning that they couldn't be tried for anything than arguable negligence of their job (as there would be no proof that Delilah started the fire) and even then they could plausibly claim that it was a wildfire. After all, there's really no reason to burn a national park. If it was a warehouse or other private/publicly owned building and/or directly imperiled the lives of civilians, then yes, but national parks are SPECIFICALLY ISOLATED because of that. In the end, Delilah and Henry should've stayed put and/or immediately extracted themselves from real and present danger, and the worst they could be tried for was potentially misleading a missing person's investigation, which ALSO is still plausibly deniable as the pair never ascertained the identity of the girls and had no way of knowing that it was them. The only way they could prove that it was misleading was, again, through the use of illegally obtained evidence.

Im watching this for the first time, and I'm at the part where he just found the transmission tower. I have a theory. Delilah is somewhere in Wapiti Station, she's the person who ripped up the camp and had the flashlight, and the teen that was there three years ago is the one who was stationed at "her" lookout. He found out she was part of some weird experiment and tried to run on the edge of that cliff, she grabbed him and threw him off, and thats why the backpack was there. She is the doctor who is in the station, and it's all some sort of weird test on Henry.

He may have been fine if he hadn't have taken them, and for other reasons soon to be discovered. His death was gruesome, but at least the game gave him slight dignity in death so that his face wouldn't be seen after he'd gone.

That body lying at the bottom of the shaft gave me chills more than it probably did to most people. One of my close friends was repelling (without proper gear) and he fell about 15 ft. and landed on his head and broke his neck. He was extremely lucky in the sense that he only had to wear a neck brace after they rushed him to the ambulance, and he had pretty well-trained medical people to care for him initially. The only sign of that happening is a scar on his head from the stitches. Just imaging if that happened to you while you were alone and with no one to help you.
