Been a long time since I had the 120 WR. Tons of room for optimization of course. Also turns out there was a $500 bounty for the first WR with carpetless so that was cool LMAO. We're in a new carpetless era so we're gonna see a lot of 1:36s eventually.

Audio is muted during DDD100 because of some dumb copyright thing that was gonna take ad revenue away. Disputing could take a while so I just went with the option to mute audio. I don't think i said much of anything anyways.

It's not really cringe, man, carpetless is a very tough trick even with the new setup, and runs without it are just destined to become obsolete at this point, sad as that may be. It was bound to happen like this. No shame. The run is still very solid overall.

You called it the most cringe WR of all time since you used a huge new time save strat and only got a 1s world record, but if we're being honest (1) you're still the first person in history to WR with carpetless, that's noteworthy (2) this is actually GOOD for the category. If someone like Suigi beat the WR by a whole minute with the first carpetless WR and permanently killed the category, that'd actually be awful for SM64 speedrunning. What you've done is kick off a new era of SM64 120-star. This is the first carpetless WR. There will be many (hopefully) future carpetless WRs. But this one is the first. And much like sloppy melee in grand finals of a supermajor, it's beautiful.

Puncay said that "this run is cringe," but I don't think so. A WR is a WR. In fact, it makes sense that Puncay is the first 120 runner to get a WR with carpetless. He may not have the highest peaks of the other 120 runners, but he's always in my opinion been the most consistent. So when a new trick like this finally came out, Puncay being the first to get a good enough run all the way through adds up. The others will pop off later, but the consistency man got it first. A WR is a WR imo; all those years of work payed off for this one, gg puncay!
