Playing The Long Dark introduced me to this song, both made me tear up, and later between the two of them they pushed me to actually commit to quitting my job and finding work in Alaska on a ship, now I finished up my contract and am back in my original state, doing well, have a solid plan setup, all that, but listening to this now makes me tear up deeply missing Alaska and what I grew to love there. Vicious cycle, I wish humans were easily content.

Molly has some sort of character depth and I (sorta) understand her motivations and personality, even if what she did was a little unsettling. Mathusaleh is... He is just cryptic for the sake of being cryptic and that is his character. The (possibly) Omniscient character who is only there to speak in riddles to make the protagonist say "this guy knows something I don't". Kinda like a Lutece Twins situation with Bioshock Infinite... and honestly it drives me the wrong way

Idk what y’all get from this song but for me it reminds me of estranged childhood friends, both unable to each accept his own weakness, brought back together the fall of an unbending, unbeatable Symbol. One friend tried to save the other over and over again despite lacking necessary strength, the other retaliating with violence and hostility to hide his emotional vulnerability. Both of these things are a result of their desire to be like the hero they look up to: he wants to save everyone but is unable to, he wants to be unbeatable and lacking in all forms of weakness. They are brought back together by The Lion’s Roar, otherwise known as the Symbol, and take on an evil together greater than anything the world has ever seen.

For me this song is about a long lost love or someone you were once close to. If you look at Mackenzie & Astrids story we don’t know a whole lot.. we know they were married once.. we don’t know how they split but it looks like they lost a child. And no matter how much time has passed & all of Mackenzies warnings not to go.. he drops everything anyway & takes her. Because.. the lions raw.. that familiar tale blowing back round again. Something you’ve heard/felt before. It’s so beautiful and I can’t stop playing it everyday! This can be my funeral song 💖 Anyone else can’t wait for the final part of wintermute? MAJOR SPOILERS: For me, the wolf family song reminds me of specifically arya because she fled after her father was killed (why he doesnt smile anymore :'^) ) and then wolf mother is thin and worn, her mother, catelyn was obvious worn out from robs war before she died as well. In the books shes ressurrected as lady stoneheart, which that could also reference to. And this song i find myself thinking of cersei and how she always struggles to stay in power and on top. She also struggles with the deaths of her children and the witchs prophecy and such. :^) idk man i love game of thrones

+Xiocipher essentially, a spiritual connection to an animal or creature. usually not connected to any particular religion, it's a more separate thing. around the same concept as otherkin, but some people don't seem to like using otherkin because of its... infamy. and im sure there's a few differences between the two that some believe and some don't but i'm not a therian nor am i active in the otherkin community anymore so i don't know. and im pretty sure "therian" preceded "otherkin" as a term.

Therianthropy is a very interesting belief. I no longer consider myself a therian but I still respect people who believe in therianthropy. Here’s what I personally believe it to be: Everyone was an animal once in their past, except for new souls. Sometimes that animal spirit attaches itself to a human body, so now that person carries their own soul and the soul of their past animal self inside them. Everyone has this but therians have a heightened connection to it, and choose to let it take over their human body (mental shifts). I’ll admit, it does look a bit strange sometimes, but i know how freeing it feels since I’ve felt it myself. I don’t let it take over me anymore, and I repressed it for a while, but once you awaken it you really can’t go back. I lost the connection to my past life almost completely. I find myself I wishing I hadn’t a lot, but it’s for the best for me. I never had that strong of a connection anyway. Do I consider my spirit fully human? No I don’t, but it’s human enough for me to not consider myself a therian. It helped me feel freer then I had in years and I still love running around barefoot in the woods.
