OMG lol, that's great - I'm recovering from a torn supraspinatus tendon, haven't done a handstand in a year and a half (pain etc) and I feel like a beginner all over again. Turning 60 in August. But I'm arm balancing again. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! Sorry about your injuries, but it sounds like you’re doing great for someone about to turn 60. My problems unfortunately got worse, and I had surgery in January (see my recent videos).

Okay so just like learning how to ride a bike when you learn how to balance a handstand you never lose that ability

Good to see you're back on your hands 👌👍 out of interest, do you think wall handstands or pikes might help with the rehab, like after your freestanding work?

Thanks! I don’t think wall handstands or pikes would help. Handstands aren’t really bothering me. I’m having a lot more trouble with some of the exercises that involve moving my shoulders a lot - like dips.

Hello, that's very impressive! What kind of rotator cuff injury did you have, and what type of surgery?

Thanks. I had two tears in my supraspinatus tendon (one a possible "full thickness" tear), as well as degradative damage to my biceps tendon and superior labrum. I didn't have surgery. I just used rest, PT, then slowly restarted working out. Annoyingly, my right shoulder seems to be mostly healed (at least it doesn't hurt much), but I have a new injury in my LEFT shoulder!

@@The_Aging_Warrior I have booked surgery to repair a partial thickness tear, but I have NO pain - just some weakness. Now that I saw what you can do without surgery ...

@@leons2395 Yeah, I wouldn't want to give you bad advice, but surgery wouldn't be my first option. I would give PT and exercise a try. I was in quite a bit of pain, and my doctor strongly advised me to do PT.

@@The_Aging_Warrior I also injured one and then the other without any rhyme or reason, but I'm much better now.
