Old guy here; having changed more exhaust pipes than you can imagine I will share a couple of tips with you. 1. a little WD 40 spray on the joint will help with removal of the old pipe. 2. buy some exhaust paste from a muffler shop and put it on the side that the new pipe will cover. this helps to make it easier to slide the new pipe over the joint.. It also helps seal the joint . Plus it will make it easier to remove the pipe and install the original pipes should it be necessary to pass your MOT 3 clean the new pipe very well with a handy wipe or an eye glass cleaner , before you start the machine . Other wise your finger prints will be forever visible after the pipe gets hot. I just subscribed and look forward to the next upgrade .

@Webbo-gf6eq good point. To me the sound characteristics, atleast on video sounds better with DB out. Id like that sound but not too loud. No db-killers has been measured to about ~110db, db killers remove about 20db. on revving that is. Whit all that said it sounds amazing with db killers just as it is. Since the db-killers are pretty easy to swap in and out a mapping device with dual maps is a not too pricey option that will give booth of worlds. I wonder how the bike would run on a db-out map and the db-killers installed. I guess fatter fueling than the opposite and thus in theory a colder running engine with some risk to the lifecycle of catalysts. The stock maps have supposedly been updated to remove lean fueling issues at 2-3k rpm, with that into consideration a db-out map for hooligan days and stock map for gentleman days is possible, with little to no sacrifice. Caveat: im not a mechanic and don't have a bike.

Gusibits are in Slaithwaite (pronounced "Slawit") near Huddersfield in West Yorkshire. If you are calling in person, Gutsi bits advise telephoning them first and giving them your registration number, they will put it on their visitors list so that you don't get a parking fine. If you want some refreshments, there is a nice cafe just around the corner from Gutsibits, by the side of the canal.

I fitted Agostini slip-ons on my V7, a DNA air filter and a rapid bike fuel controller, screen and a very useful centre stand. I suggest you put some loctite red on the bolt threads and use the recommended torque settings as Guzzis do vibrate and the nuts can come loose over time. I had my gear lever came loose and I my rear reflector fell off due to the bolts loosening. When it comes time to replace your battery, fit a Lithium ion ( big weight saving). When your tyres need replacing try some Continental Road Attack 3s.. Big improvement in handling.

Sounds great, also looks really nice! Not sure if it’s the same on Guzzis but I just put some ‘quiet’ baffles in my M8 Heritage pipes to aid the lack of back pressure which didn’t hurt the sound too much but brought back all the low-end torque. The plus side of you riding it before taking out the baffles is that you’ll be able to notice whether or not the performance is affected.

I put a Mistral muffler along with Agostini big bore headers and y-pipe on my '24 V100 Mandello. Left the dB killer in, it was a little too loud with it out. Also have a '23 V7 Special Edition that came with OEM Arrow mufflers, replaced them with a set of full-length Agostini reverse cone mufflers with the dB killers out, and an UPMAP tune. Now it sounds like a proper air-cooled Guzzi should! You're lucky that you have the Euro-spec tail light, that was one of the first things I changed on my US-model. From what I remember, the difference is something like 115mm in diameter versus 65mm, so the Euro-spec one is much smaller, and looks a LOT better. Also went with dual Hella disc horns, engine guards, solo seat, and a tinted fly screen, so it makes the Special Edition that much more "special"! Enjoy yours!
