Yeeess, you are going to absolutely love Nevermoor!! And Amari and the Nightbrothers is amazing as well! ❤ Also, The Witch's Heart is such a beautiful story, I loved that one. I really liked how well-developed the characters were for a myth retelling and the themes about motherhood were incredible. And Wahala is indeed a really fun time. I picked it up on a whim and even though it has some pretty unlikable characters, I was super entertained the entire way through. I hope you enjoy all these gorgeous books, can't wait to hear your thoughts on them!! 🥰

Yayyyy I'm so glad you got the Witch's Heart! It's one of my favorite reads of last year and I THINK the author is working on another Norse inspired story (I follow her on instagram and am a little bit of a fan you could say 😄) I hope you end up loving it as much as I did! Same for Sistersong, I really liked this retelling with nature-based magic. Unfortunately Daughter of the Moon Goddess didn't work for you but at least it's a gorgeous cover to have on your shelves!

I also guessed who did it in Death of The Nile, but haven't guessed the twists in most of Christie's books. The other one I guessed was Murder in Mesopotamia, and I also still really enjoyed it because, like you said, you may guess who did it but I never know HOW and it's just so fun to figure it out along the way. 👏 My two favourite Jules Verne books are Paris in The Twentieth Century (a dystopian novel that was actually rejected by his editor and only published for the very first time in the 90s!) & Around The World in Eighty Days (so clever and I really enjoyed following our characters on their adventures 💗). I tried reading 20 000 Leagues Under The Sea but the pacing was very slow, I couldn't see the end of all those lists (I cannot call them proper descriptions 😅), but there's a mystery around Captain Nemo that I'd still like to uncover. I might spoil it for myself. 🙈 I've also read Five Weeks in a Balloon which really didn't work for me for many reasons (the character work + dialogues), but my main issue was how racist it was (it takes place in Africa, a country Verne never visited himself, so he based his setting on books written by travelers & geographers of his time). Journey at The Center of The Earth sounds lovely and that edition would make me want to read it right away! 😍 I'm also interested in reading more middle-grade and the ones you mentioned do intrigue me. I'd also argue there are books classified as middle-grade that I think adults can appreciate much more for the themes explored (for example The Neverending Story by Michael Ende - I've read it at 13, mostly confused, and loved it years later at 26 because I could finally understand the symbolical fantastical elements). Anyways, hope you enjoy most if not all of these! 💗

Great haul! We’ve picked up a number of the same books. I think you’ll love The Girl Who Drank the Moon. It has a tiny talking dragon who thinks he’s gigantic, so how can you not love it? The Nevermoor series gets better with each book. I’m jealous of your Fevered Star ARC. I just reread Black Sun in anticipation of it’s release. I can’t wait! I love big book haul videos and can't wait to hear your opinions on all these thrillers. I am most excited for "The Book of Cold Cases," since I enjoyed The Sundown Motel a couple months ago. Never read Broken Girls though. "The Invited" also sounds interesting. I love haunted houses even though ghosts and paranormal stuff actually scare me. I started with "The Maid" yesterday. Could hardly put it down but continuing today I am a bit put off by the dumbness of the main character. But since she is supposed to solve the murder case, I hope that will get better :D "Nevermoor" and "Amari" I also want to get one day, so I can read it to my daughter once she is a bit older (she will turn 3 this summer)

Death on the Nile is my favorite Poirot story (tho I love most of them - Poirot is such a fun character to follow 😁)! For the adaptation, I'd recommend the BBC one with the one and only David Suchet (added bonus that that adaptation has Emily Blunt playing Linnet 😉). I honestly don't plan on watching the new adaptation, as I watched the Orient Express one and I thought that the main actor completely butchered Poirot's character (Poirot is not an action hero, jumping around and shooting, gosh darn it!!), so I'm not planning on watching the Death on the Nile one (plus Mara from Bookslikewhoa, another major Poirot fan, made a rant about it, so I'm gonna spare my heart the heartbreak of watching it 😅)
