A solution to the fire stick problem is to purchase one for the van. That is what I did last year after forgetting to pack it. Thanks for the vlogs. Have found them useful for looking at sites I have not been to.

Morning Bob and Jenny, I'm a recent convert to your channel, after we took plunge, visited the NEC show and decided to hire a motorhome in early Spring 2023. I've watched a massive chunk of your videos already and learnt so much from them, so thank you very much for that. We are staying relatively local for our first outing and are looking at the Royal Vale site and Southport as both are accessible and good bases for our travels. We did, however, notice from the video and reviews that Royal Vale doesn't seem to have a grid system for disposing of grey water and we wondered if that was correct, and what we would do about disposing of water if the hire van doesn't come with the piping that you used? I honestly can't remember about Royal Vale, that was nearly three years ago. However, most sites will have a drive over grate, or manhole for waste water from motorhomes.

Took my caravan out last week after about 9 months made a few mistakes/ forgot things as well. tv tuning is probably the most stressful thing as it’s usually the last thing to do after water/gas/electricity/waste. Would it of been easier to turn van round to reach services on pitch?ive had same problem needing longish hoses for fully serviced pitches enjoy ure break

Hi Bob, I've just bought my first motorhome and haven't got a clue 😂I've driven it and fiddles with it over the past week as it's in storage because of covid and the change on weather. It's a Hobby Optima T65 GE and is only just on three years old next month. I've watched your videos avidly and learned quite a bit like how to put the heating on, next week I'll do the water system and find out how to get hot water 😱you need the brains of a Philadelphia lawyer. Take it to a local campsite first and don't be afraid to ask for help. We learn best from mistakes. We like the Caravan and Motorhome Club for it's ease of booking sites. Enjoy yourself.

Campsites are still open and have been since the lockdown was lifted in July. The only ones shut are those closed for the winter.

Another first class video. My service provider (EE) has offered me a Netgear Nighthawk M2 mobile router and while getting a current customer discount it's not cheap and has a 50Gb limit. I am interested if one of these would give a better signal, trying to run a Firestick, than a 'personal hotspot' from my mobile and is it worth the cost. I currently have an EE IPhone with a 100Gb data limit and while I have read many good reports about the M2 can’t find one that compares it to the hotspot. Would very much welcome your views.
