I think the wings could have a bit more dihedral, looks like it can tip stall easy. Good flying on such a windy day.

@Anthony Wright don’t be such a dipstick, tip stalls are mainly on planes with NO dihedral.

@Anthony Wright I don’t think you do. A plane with no dihedral drops a wingtip when it stalls. A plane with dihedral will just drop nose first during a stall. Planes with the wings on the bottom of the fuselage are more likely to tip stall. Hope that helps you understand. A library is a good place to read up on it.

Great review, and you did maiden flight at such high winds. I love those small scale models, like E-Flite ones. Stabilisation is necessary on those micro planes.This is good one for beginners.

I think so. It's the smallest and best cheap aileron RC airplane I've come across. Would make a good stocking filler for a kid I think. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)

hi nice review but i don't understand what is the difference in 3g and 6g mode in behaviour of the plane. and how can i see on the remote control the 3g or 6 g activate? thanx for your quick answer cause i want to test today it's sunny rare in france lol

What happens when you fly it too far away ? Does it just drop ?

Your eyesight is the limiting factor. You would have to fly a long way before it went outside radio/transmitter range. 0.5 to 1.0 km. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)

Hi. in 3D mode it's still got the gyros working in it hasn't it? I'm can hear it trying to level the plane while its in your hand at the end? Will this take me to the next level from an un gyro'd 3 channel cheaper trainer or should I just jump to the tundra??

3D mode just basically increases your rates on the control surfaces while leaving the stabilisation gyro on. You cannot roll the model. Bit unfortunate but that's just the way it's been designed I guess. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)

i know you did this review a while back but i am curious, i am asking this of a number of reviewers re the mini trainstar (£50 ish uk) vs xk a600 (£90 ish) vs hobbyzone champ (£80ish) have you any experience of how they compare to one another?

land on the grass its so much more forgiving with that model... on a calm day it should be very simple to land vs windy day..

Good review. My landings are all like your first two, well not really, but I've yet to avoid a nose stand landing even on short grass. I've only broken one prop though Tough little things even in the hands of a klutz like me.

To be honest I wouldn't bother with the landing gear. Just hand launch it and belly land. Would fly well enough until you get good enough with it...then add the LG and try spot landings for fun. Appreciate the feedback. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)

Agreed on hand launching. You might want to put some tape on the belly to keep it cleaner for the belly landings, you can remove the tape for the landing gear later on.

Great review!!! I have about 3 month of flying on 3 channel RC planes. I have a Duet, Champ and Wltoys A959. Would going to the Xk A430 be too much with the 4 channel experience, or would the A600 be a better choice. Thanks so much!!!!!

Ohhh. Good question. A430 is quite a bit more sensitive on ailerons than the A600 in 3D mode but they both have 6G mode which makes them both easy to fly. I would recommend going with the A430. Fly it on 6G until you are really confident and then you can experiment with aerobatics on the 6G mode. From memory the A430 will fly inverted on 3D mode which the A600 will not. Quite limiting when it comes to aerobatics. Good luck. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)

too much gyros on this plane, it would be better if there's less gyros but still, a great bargain 4 channel aircraft at half the price of sports cub S anddddddd BRUSHLESS MOTORS!!!!!!
