Hi everyone! In this video, I attempt to vlog my first day of school with all of our students (scary and exciting because we've been either virtual or hybrid the past year and a half due to COVID)! thanks so much for following my journey :D I felt like I had no clue what I was doing my first year of grad school. There are still many days when I feel like I have no clue but I can't believe three years have flown by and now I'm licensed and practicing! Hope you're enjoying grad school!

Your zebra pants were soooo cute! But for baby school psychs out there watching her: This is HER district where this is likely okay! make sure you check on the dress code at your individual district and with your department if you're attached to a SPED office. If you don't know, start off as business casual. ALWAYS step up your outfits for meetings, because it shows parents and students that you're taking them and their education seriously. This is an amazing profession and I'm happy more young people are getting into it!

Is this a heavy desk job? I’m interested in School Psych but I don’t want to be stuck at a desk all day, would you suggest it for somebody who doesn’t like desk jobs.

you will have some paperwork to do but depends on your role. if you find a placement where you're mostly doing counseling and SEL work, you might have less, whereas, lots of testing will result in lots of reports and eligibility paperwork.
