First EVER Track Day in My 2022 Hyundai Kona N

I take the Kona N to Streets of Willow for my first ever time on track. I had a great time, but definitely NEED and WANT to improve my driving. Didn't push the car as much as I know I could and want to go back ASAP to improve my time. The car was great and couldn't have asked for more on my very first time at a race track.

Hey Gavin - nice vid. Love the KN. Some advise on your steering wheel hand position: your hands should be at 9 and 3 o’clock at all times. No need to replace hands as you move through the track unless it’s autocross and you are doing u-turns, etc.

Ah thanks for the advice! Ya I have gotten similar feedback I think I’ve improved since the first track day. On my last track day I found it easier to do the above without gloves with the thicker steering wheel. Def gotta practice more tho!

The track looks like it has more straights and fewer corners, the engine of kona n There is no potential like ea888 for example, but having elsd will give this car an advantage in small tracks with more turns, happy to see you awesome car well down mate🎉

Hah yeah love the new exhaust! Fav cars I saw was the Veloster Ns, GRCs and the Type Rs ha more of my style but tons of other crazy cars out there that were dope!

Man it handles great, def more on me as a driver to push it! Derek the other Kona N out there has his at stock height and he RIPS!

How has the Borla exhaust been? Is it too loud all the time even with valves shut or is it just right? I'm impatiently waiting for the EN borla clips to drop somewhere on the net 😂

Man honestly its def louder even in normal / eco mode! Ha get paranoid about cops even if I'm driving normally just for the sound. But amazing regardless, especially the little pops n bangs in normal mode let alone full N is crazy!
