+resiggy13 Many builders perform their own first flights. Roger, as well as many other trained and qualified pilots, are available and recommended to perform first flights in completed aircraft.

I'm not a pilot wonder why one would not use a written check list to go down I get it's not a 737 but even a fuel selector left in the wrong position can cause a problem.
