I bet very few of use remember the freight yard Alston- Brighton beacon park I worked there freight in Massachusetts almost disappeared after they closed that freight yard I enjoy these videos and have gone down to fall Newport and New Bedford to look at the rebuild great video thanks

I remember that yard, and we used to deliver a couple of lumber cars over there in the back. Took forever because of the interlockings with passenger trains also. When did they turn the engine and where did they end up delivering?

They actually didn’t turn the engine but rather ran back into Readville yard to run around. As far as I know the car made it to Walpole.

Usually without oil but under a nitrogen blanket. Transformers, esp hi voltage ones (200kv or higher) do not like humidity in the windings after prior to shipping testing.

I see CSX 6222 AND 6224 around near my area in braintree after 11 pm sun night thru thursday night no fri night and no Saturday night unless there is special frieght that has to be put in braintree beside the T station 😊

I think if they we're more of those on different railroads it would help out with A whole lot of supplies & demand needs all over faster to. Along with freeing up truck driver's more to be able to be on the road to other places quicker to help out with faster supplies & demand needs all over to. I don't understand why this didn't happen was sooner years ago back before now truthfully to begin with. That way it would actually already be ahead of the game by years.

The car was spotted for loading on the yard lead. The Dedham Branch main track was a few hundred feet to the east of the yard.
