Those two are going to grow up thinking its normal to hop into your own plane and fly all over the place whenever you want! Thank you for giving them that. The freedom of flight is an amazing gift. Id gladly give up a few extra years of life to do it again (and I likely don't have many left to give!)

Love those helicopters, got my license in a Schweitzer 300c approx 20 years ago in Ogden Ut. One of the funniest things I’ve ever done. Wish I could afford to keep flying. Love family Love aviation, you’re my kind of guy Mark keep it up!

Getting the License is a great achievement. If circumstances permit it can always be revived, if you had not achieved that - while it is a great "Fun" time flying" - the achievement isn't the same.. Big thumbs up.

mike the first time I went up in a chopper was about 1975 it was a we'll call it a mash 2 person chopper I was fine till I looked up and saw the three fan belts running it no doors very loud and only cheap lap belt now after many flights in military helicopters I still don't like egg beaters but I'm glad to see the babies enjoy their flight always try to make it enjoyable for your passengers you are a great inspiration and a good papa.

Adorable! I wanted to ask you. How is it working when you want to go for a ride? Do you have to send a "plan de vol" like for a plane, or you can just take off and go where you want? Thanks

(Hoping Mark P replies with specific info, but here goes in my limited experience - - (Not specific off course) - but in much of the world, there is nothing to file to go for a flight in any aircraft, just - do your planning first naturally - hop in and go. Outside Controlled Airspace - (at a Class D Airport if you are based there, for example , you may just ask for clearance to takeoff, leave and enter etc...) airplane or heli, it is no different.) if you are going "cross country" - greater than 50nm from departure you may leave an official SAR notification with "airservices" or pin a notice of expected return / arrival on the club noticeboard etc take it down after return, or call to confirm safe arrival...
