The touch of a woman! She did an absolutely beautiful job, and on top of it - three in a row! I learnt to fly in 1967 in a Cessna 150. My instructor weight about 260 lbs, me about 175. I will never forget my first solo. The way that 150 jumped off the ground is something I will remember the rest of my life. I know exactly what she felt on that first solo. She did better than most other pilots. Your wife can be extremely proud of her accomplishment and you can be proud of her!

Mike, I didn’t know you flew helicopters too! That’s awesome! I did my instrument and commercial training in the Schweitzer 300 CBi ! Love that little bird! I was training for a career morning Helicopters, which unfortunately didn’t pan out let me in do I miss it! Thanks to you and all your buddies there are out west, however, I am now a new tail wheel pilot with a legend super cub, which will make its debut on my KZbin channel very soon! you guys really inspired me to get out of a stagnation point in flying and learn something new and bring new challenges to my flying! I have been flying a Cherokee 180 for 15 years, but I remember wanting to fly tail wheel ever since I was a student. I just never got around to doing it, till now! Tell Suzy, great job! I’m sure she’s already a very skilled pilot but this will make her even better for sure!!

Great job Suzy. When asked what she liked about the solo I was almost expecting a bit of ribbing along the lines of it being so much quieter without any other Patey's in the backseat; eating up load, talking up a storm, and trying to film everything. Thanks for sharing the moment with us, keep being awesome and spreading the love of flying.

Beautiful performance. Reminds me of this great violinist in this prestigious concert hall playing the rare and most expensive Strativarius violin. once done the audience gave a roaring standing ovation. he then raised the rare violin over his head then slammed it to his knee breaking it into many pieces and said it is not the violin but the violinist that makes the violin great. i think its the same for Suzy and the Carbon cub!
