Attempting to clear some stuff up: The way Slows work right now with what was Relentless(reduced duration on Slows and other stuff) was that if someone that was Relentless 50%(there's also 75%), then when a Slow gets applied, the game would automatically reduces its duration by 50%. So base of 2 = 1 second duration. For Slows that are decaying over time, like Butcher's Q, it was actually applying a 5% Slow 10 times, each one lasting 2 seconds, but a separate thing would remove 1 stack of that slow every 0.125 second or however the math works out to be at 0 after 2 seconds. So what would happen with Relentless and these decaying Slows is that it would reduce the duration for each stack - so 10 stacks of Slow would mean each and every stack would have their duration cut in half - from 2 seconds to 1 second, and then from 1 second to 0.5 seconds, then to 0.25 seconds, and so on. The way it's been reworked from what I can tell is that these Slows have been reworked to be 1 stack of Slow, but with the Slow strength determined by how much time has passed since it was first applied, with the rate of modificaiton determined on application - if the target has 50% reduction, it ramps down in strength faster(so the Slow becomes less powerful faster), and 75% even faster still. For the store icon stuff, it looks like they've been updated to use other icons - like Falstad's Flight was using a squishy looking icon like his Z in the ability bar, but now uses the same icon as Epic Mount. Dehaka's clamping on his Brushstalker looks to make it so if Dehaka tries to cast it inside his own circle, it'll cast it on the nearest point outside of his circle. Oh, and the Root bug fix thing looked like some root effects would remain on the hero that is rooted if the root ends(expires or removed cause target died) while the target is affected by a knockback, there was a bit of a baseline change in how roots were applied as part of this.

FYI, saw Fan do the math on Zuljin, according to his math, at level 20 you would need almost 350 stacks to have exactly the same attack damage in either patch. So, it's a buff if you don't stack that much, it's a nerf if you stack more.

Guillotine is a very interesting ult because it strikes very hard, very long range, and without warning too. I think there's more potential there than people think. For example, I always theorycrafted a combo with Ana, Nanoboosting ZJ and lining up a Guillotine target with Sleep Dart. Or Malf Roots and the Innervate bonus.

It can be devastating with a trained eye. I guess it's why it's less picked due to it being hard to land when there is no visibility, so a high skill level is required. The utility of Taz'dingo keeping you close to enemies makes it easier to confirm kills. To me it's more hit and miss like Qhira's Final strike ult. You can finish off people, but it's so easily dodged when you expect it that the other ult just makes more sense. Guillotine is also easy to avoid when Zul'jin is near so you hear the spell cast. It is satisfying to land one on out of vision heroes who "feel safe".

I think guillotine must slow the enemy 30% by 1sec and 50% when Zuljin health it's below 50%

Love to see more changes coming for our favourite moba. Think that ZJ nerf comes out to around 10% lower AA damage, not really confirming the numbers I see, as I have no HOTS installed currently. Thanks for the review, always happy to hear your thoughts. hasuHGC! peepoChair!

That is not correct in most reasonable cases. The main issue is that baseline AA damage scales with levels, while quest reward damage does NOT (as all flat quest rewards like e.g. Azmodan Q baseline or Cassia Q lvl 1) so the actual math changes based on the level. A number I often use is that at level 18 base stats are doubled (1,04^18 = 2,02) (not all heroes' and stats scale at 4% but exceptions are exceedingly rare). This means that at lvl 18 if ZJ has 320 AA hits on heroes he will deal the same damage pre and post change (before -> 64 dmg, now -> 16, difference of 48 = 24 * 2 i.e. the base AA increase). Any less and the new ZJ is better, any more and old ZJ is better. Again, at later level the breakeven stacks increases. At lower level it is smaller. Overall this is a buff to the early game viability, and a nerf only in ultra-late-game-ultra-stacking games (or ARAM). Of course there's the relevant recklessness nerf to take into account after that.

I have an Idea for Johannas Horse talent: - no dismount when when taking dmg when talent is actice - xx armor after active dismounting She could then use it to engage or as a gap closer

Yeah, that would probably make it alot better, maybe it gets too opressive tho if she cant get dismounted. Sounds quite disgusting seeing a johanna running into your backline on mountspeed and you cant stop her haha :D

Yeah, its currently on the PTR. Hard to say because it always differs but between 2 weeks and 4 weeks is probably reasonable to expect it to be on live servers.

Just did calculation on Zul jin, this baseline dmg increase actualy changes for about 250 stacks, so this seems like a big buff actualy, ur not dependent on dmg from stacks that much anymore.

Hmmm what numbers are you looking at? I calculate at level 1, 250 stacks are currently 50 additional damage, 94+50 = 144 damage. With the new change 250 stacks would be 12,5 additional damage 118+12,5 = 130,5 damage. That's around 10% lower AA damage at level 1. I don't have HOTS installed to check the numbers at higher levels.

@sinzies Sorry, I was refferimg to lev 20 dmg levels, 250 stacks used to give 50 dmg, and thats about how much you get passive at lev 20. So scaled down, you should be getting more dmg earlier, equaling to about 250 stacka by lev 20 just from the passive buff, stacking will be 4 times slower but still I think its gonna end up roughly the same by lev 20 just with more dmg early and mid game.

The break point is 160 stacks. Every autoattack gives 0.15 damage bonus to current ZJ. Currently 0.2 damage per AA, new is 0.05 damage per AA. You will start with 24 more damage, so to offset that you need 160 (24 / 0.15) autoattack stacks. Essentially it's just after you get the double swing axes, from then on you are weaker. ZJ damage is just rebalanced a lot more towards early game. He will still have good lategame damage, just nowhere near as much scaling for aram or clownfiesta games.

​@@EntropyKC The extra 24 damage scales at 4% per level multiplicatively. Whereas the quest stacks never scale so it's whether it's a nerf or buff is always going to depend on your level and stacks. So 160 stacks at lvl 8 on live and PTR is 169 AA damage on both but that's only true at lvl 8.
