It is powered by a 345ci HEMI V8 engine with dual 4-barrel carburetors mated to an automatic transmission. I like the 56 de soto more. But this one is a wonderfully restored car as well. My favorites are all from 1958.

My dad had a DeSoto when I was very young. I believe it was a 57 or 58. I remember being VERY impressed with those three stacked taillights! It was a 4door, white over gray. On trips from NH to D.C. on family visits, I would sleep up in the package tray and my little sister had the backseat! Not sure what engine it had but, it put me to sleep many times!
