I have owned my Duster for two years now, having previously owned a Sandero. I'm totally spell bound by my Duster. The Bigster, in my opinion will sell by the bucket load, and will be in my sights as my next Dacia. Reviews are OK, but they are only based on one person's views. Watch this space, this is an exciting development for Dacia and Dacia brand buyers. Regards Rob.

As someone who owns a 1.3 litre TCe150 Duster, I was hoping the Bigster would have larger engines, so they accomodate a different segment of the market.
@sebastianstoica5782 ай бұрын
It has the 1,2 TCE but also a 4 cylinder, 1,8 hybrid version.
@TheModernMusicsucks2 ай бұрын
@@sebastianstoica578 the 1.2 TCe in my opinion seems good for something like the Sandero and may be tolerant in the Duster (though I'd get what I have), I just think 1.2 litre is too small for any car that is bigger. In my experience, the best MPG comes from where the engine size and power is best for the car weight. Smaller engine doesn't necessarily mean better MPG.
@TheModernMusicsucks2 ай бұрын
@@sebastianstoica578 to add, I am someone who prefers petrol over diesel, however I do think Dacia could give the Bigster mora diesel engine variety, or maybe a bigger one than its usual perhaps a 2 litre. Diesel is better for pulling a lot of weight by the looks of it but it's definitely suffering from government scrutiny.
@sebastianstoica5782 ай бұрын
@@TheModernMusicsucks, keep in mind that Dacia uses the CMF-B platform for all its models, except Spring, and that is a small city car platform, hence all its cars are light. That said, there are many reasons why Dacia and Renault choose to use the 1,2 TCE. They polute less IF you drive them in their ideal way, and Dacia doesn't afford to have more polluting engines because it doesn't have more electric cars to compensate the pollution. Read a bit about how car manufacturers are penalised for exceeding the pollution norms which, from 2025, will get even more stringent.

Cars in this segment are often required to tow caravans; I wonder what the capacities will be, given it's only available with eother a 1.2 petrol, or the hybrid which, if the hybrid Duster and Jogger are anything to go by, will have a pathetically low GTW... However, if I'm wrong and it has a decent limit, I see no.reasom this couldn't eventually replace my ageing Honda CR-V

Not as chiselled as the concept, although that might be down to the paint and smaller wheels. Wish it came with options for satin/matte & 21s. Although a wrap is an option for the paint issue, I suppose.
@CompletecarIeАй бұрын
That is true, though there's always a difference between the design concept and the finished production model. It does also have to share some body panels with the Duster to minimise costs, which has an impact on overall design. Still, we think it could fit 21-inch wheels reasonably easily.

Bigster is just a slightly bigger Dacia, Generation 2 had all that 4×4 goodness with Disel, now they nerfed it in gen 3 to introduce the Bigster ... in concept, Dacia Bigster was supposed to be the top of the line Dacia Electric SUV ... i just hope they take a look at Edison Mottors and make something like that, moderate battery for 150-250km (250 is best conditions, 150 is worst winter conditions) battery only range, but also have an efficient generator that can ptoduce 1.5× the maximum that the electric engines consume in turbo, and about the same output as them in efficiency mode, just to be covered in edge cases, and with generators is not that hard to do, and the generator engine does not power the wheels, is just an auxiliary system for redundancy and range extension, so you have in frame battery, with 2 electric motors , the back focused on efficient torque, while the front is focused on efficient regeneration braking, and a multi fuel disel generator in front... Bigster has enough space to fit all that, and would be a shame not to.

This should have a 7 seater option, even if you pay for it. It's mindblowing that they don't have it. Why would anyone would choose this over the Duster?
@mihayy20002 ай бұрын
Because of the bigger boot and extra options like dual zone climate control, air vents for back seats, electric seats and panoramic roof. We got two kids and we do road trips every month, so for us the bigger boot space is a must.

NO, NO NO... Is a CUV (Crossover Utility Vehicle) NOT an SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle): CUV: Built on a unibody platform (autoportant), like a car, which makes it lighter and more fuel-efficient. It's designed for comfort and everyday road use. SUV: Built on a body-on-frame (chassis) platform, like a truck, it is more robust and better suited for off-road driving or heavy-duty tasks.
