FIRST LOOK: AMBITION CRUISE SHIP, NEW AMBASSADOR CRUISE LINE - WHOLE SHIP TOUR & INSIDE LOOK

The 1200-passenger Ambition is the second ship for a brand new British cruise line called Ambassador, which launched back in Spring 2022. It isn't a new ship. This cruise ship has previously sailed as both an Aida ship and a Costa cruise ship I believe. I was allowed to stay the night on Ambition for a sneak peek at the ship ahead of its maiden voyage. This video offers a first look at the ship and includes a whole ship tour as well as an inside look at what makes this vessel tick.
It starts on top deck, looking at its swimming pools, seating/chairs, jogging track as well as giant chess board, ice-cream stand and games area. Then it moves to the ship's interior. Like Ambassador Cruise line's first ship Ambience, Ambition has a purple and green color scheme reminiscent of the Wimbledon Tennis Championship and the All England Lawn Tennis Club. This gives the ship a genteel, classic feel as well as a touch of class. Ambition is a great value ship for this brand new British cruise line and the video also looks at a selection of cabins, the food and restaurants (the film covers breakfast, lunch and dinner) and then it focuses on the amazing spa and gym. Ambition's spa is SERIOUSLY top notch. Lastly the video turns to the ships bars and lounges, as well as its library (yes, it has a library), theatre and entertainment. I stayed on Ambition while it was docked in the port of Tyne in Newcastle, just one of the UK's many regional ports which Ambassador will be sailing from. David it's true, their cruises are GREAT value and drinks are very affordable once you're on board too. I really enjoyed my week-long voyage to the Norwegian Fjords on their first ship Ambience last summer...it's not posh, but it does deliver.

@@gowithjo1 . Hi Jo .. I actually sailed on the Ambience when it’s was the P&O Pacific Dawn . It operated mainly out of Sydney , and we did a 4 nighter to Moreton Island QLD. I wondered what had happened to it and it’s sister ships as non returned post Covid , replaced by more modern vessels . I wish the cruise line well and perhaps may even take one on a future trip back home .

@@davidcartwright5591 I love that you sailed on Ambience in a different carnation. And I love how these older ships are still being used. There's nothing wrong with them - they're still good vessels, they just don't have all the bells and whistles and amenities that some of the newer ones have. I actually quite like a classic, stripped-down ship!!

I think it will sail right round the world. I saw an amazing cruise to Brazil on it from the UK next January. It's over 30 days, but looked unbelievable...though it did have a LOT of sea days!!! Fine if the sea's flat, but otherwise it could be hairy!!

@@gowithjo1 yes that is true,... normally we are the lucky ones,but after a 10 hours ride back to the north the sun was shining again and the cold beer tasted delicious 😋

I’ve just read about it. Ambassador did NOT kill whales, no. Unfortunately though the Faro Islands have a horrid tradition of killing whales once a year and the passengers on this ship saw it happening and it was very distressing. I wish the Faro Islands would stop this horrible practice.
