But why this toy format, with the mini pot knobs and as a kit, would be interested if it was like the 0-Coast or the new cr8audio synths. Especially with the moog name.

Cause it’s essentially supposed to be a toy for people new to synths, it’s pretty much supposed to be a way for Moog to start a marketing pipeline for people buying the mavis to then upgrade to bigger Moog stuff, at least that’s what it seems like with all the manuals, it’s pretty sneaky and also very smart

Looks to me like an EXPENSIVE clone of the Crave. Which, in turn, is a clone of the Mother 32. Now: It's ALL PLASTIC, you have to ASSEMBLE IT YOURSELF, and it has NO MIDI... But, oh my! It has a WAVE FOLDER!!

hahaaa this but don't forget this is sized to fit in a shirt pocket - the benefit being that you do get those extra hip points when you pull it out at the camp fire, this is surely justification for that absurd price and childish look
