I've got one of these screens. This is a fair overview. People who want a tablet and don't want the RGB lights can simply not buy one. For everyone else it makes a great addition to a Raspberry Pi setup. It works OK with a Pi 2 as well.

Very cool piece of kit! Seems very reasonably priced too. 👍😀

This is getting added to my wishlist. In the planning stages of putting together a portable radio system(ham), and was planning on using a Libre Computing Renegade for digital modes. Needed a screen.

I have one similar without the case and rgb. The hookups on the side look exactly the same on it. I use it on my Pi 400 right now.

That looks like a great HMI monitor for an individual piece of equipment. Does it have capability to be mounted over a cutout in a panel? The big PLC players like Rockwell just bolt a Windows micro PC to the back of a similar monitor and charge substantially more. Running Node Red on a Pi 3B+ would outperform the $$$$ gear in the brand new $$$$$$$ facility I work in, and deliver a better user experience.

The only mounts I can see are the 4 threaded inserts on the back. They are intended to attach a Pi, but they're strong enough to mount the monitor.

I use a tablet mounted by the front door to revue my security cameras, this might work if it had wi-fi.

Flashing LEDS on the back? I guess it is better than flashing LEDS in your face.

$110 for a tablet without the internals?
