There is nothing wrong with making someone else's "trash" your treasure! And, if you are into old Harleys, swap meets are probably one of the best ways of doing that. And who doesn't love a good treasure hunt!?

Always good deals to be had at swap meets! Never ever turn down free parts. You never know when they can turn into just the coolest addition to one of your builds. You have such good fortune to be able to score such a haul! What's the old saying? One man's trash is another man's treasure. Loved the video and seeing some cool bikes there! Good to see you at the swapmeet Angel! When I got there, I could not get within 10ft of the tables as it was wall to wall people! I picked up a new takeoff 16" wire spoke wheel that is replacing the wagon wheel on my Road Glide, and 7 super cool repro old movie posters. 😉

Excellent restraint Red, walking right on past the shovel stuff, I remember going to a spring swap meet with 2 bros in the 90's and a guy had a used set of shovel drag pipes for $20 and between the 3 of us I think we had $16, he took it in disgust 😂

Yup and you can get led 1157 bulbs to put in them to brighten them up I have the 5 .75 inch led headlight that makes a world of difference at night on my Harley

Damn that red cr dirt bike was clean as, would be top $$ here! Also was surprised to see those spider gear knobs there haha I have a red back spider one on my landcruiser, it’s an original 90’s gear knob when they were really popular, not a reproduction. The swap meet here is coming up next month and I never miss one! This will be the first year I’ll be looking for Harley stuff as well and super excited!

I love going to swap meets. We have quite a few over the warmer months. Mostly car stuff, but there are guys who deal just with bike stuff. A lot of the chrome crap I stuck on my Softail came from swap meets. Certainly cheaper in the long run!

Hi 👋, Angel, that music sounds great, a lot of good goodies at the swap meet, It’s a many years since I’ve been to a swap mate, The Bonneville chopper looks amazing , it reminds me when I was riding back in the late 60s, early 70s on my bike, The Bonneville I had had was not chopped, but my Norton dominator was, and by the looks of the blue FXR. I had the same exhaust but mine were dual, and Edelbrock Qwiksilver Carb , on my bike back in the mid 90s and very similar styling, but mine was red., Love the retro safety glasses, they suit you very well. 😂, in fact, I’ll go as far to say Mad Max style., I think Daddio would like them, but I think you should be wearing them to protect your pretty little eyes, 😂. Swap-Meets (or 'Autojumbles' as we call them in the UK..) are great places to find bargains and rare parts, but they're also a different world to any other aspect of the motorcycling lifestyle so just for a short while you need to abandon all pretense to looking cool and carry a rucksack to put small items in, this saves you constantly marching back and forwards to the car !!

And I'm sorry, but traditionally my third comment. The story of the "Safety glasses" How I met the "Glass Cutter". Once upon a time, I broke my father's safety glasses. And in order not to get hit on the neck by my father, I spent a long time sorting through glass jars "For vegetables" To find glass with a perfectly similar shade and curves. And with the help of a Glass Cutter, I cut out the glass for the "safety glasses". It turned out perfectly. In general, more than twenty years have passed, and these glasses still exist. 😂

Hey Red, never heard you say whether you found those lenses for your friend's bike, nice score on the dash for your pops bike build that you were searching for too. Wish we had some swap meets during the off-peak riding times when most of us are working on either new builds, upgrades, or repairs. It seems like they're always outside on the hottest weekend of the summer when there's not a cloud in sight or a breeze to be found! I hope that we get to see a video of the unpacking of the free stuff after you get back from FL. TX Ted

Commenting from the UK... I have lucky enough to visit Wauseon, the Mid Ohio, Oley (PA) and the Barber Festival and can recommend the Swapmeets (Mostra Scrambio) at Imola and Reggio Emilia (Italy). Coupes Moto Legende (Dijon, France) and Mannheim (Germany). In England you need to visit the Stafford Show, April and October and Founders Day in July.

Hi 👋 Miss Red rider, Swap meets are always interesting, but at the same time it’s very difficult to find what we’re really searching for among tons of trash. If I unavoidably build some expectations up, in my mind, I usually get really disappointed if and when that ends in a soap bubble…more or less like someone who avoids to propose to another person non to be rejected. Human mind is strange. Anyway, I hope you did find what you were looking for. At the last motorcycle exposition I went I bought from a Scandinavian artisan, a classical bomber jacket, petroleum blue outside, removable orange liner, and back, shoulders and elbows protection, embedded in dedicated pockets… 149 euros, but I think it’s worth every single one. I couldn’t try it yet, but spring is coming…I can’t wait to have ride. What about you? I think you already chewed some miles, isn’t it? Anyway, good luck 🍀 for all your projects. My first one is getting rid of an ugly welding around my muffler end cap by grinding the main part and finishing it by using a file, in order to avoid undesirable scratches. Bye ✌️
