Dear Cécile, Thank you so much for sharing this demo with us. I'm a native speaker of German and I feel like I should disparage your doubts: your German is just fine! And by that I mean completely comprehensible presented in the most charming way! Is there any chance that you could upload the remainder of the video? I'm quite interested in hearing what your participants have to say about their former language instructions/classes. Unfortunately the video stopped at that most interesting moment. Also, I have been using some of the stories from your story listening videos with my 6th and 7th graders and they loved it! So thank you for all the inspiration you give!

Thank you, Uwe! I am very attached to the German language because I lived and studied in Germany a long time ago. I was also very excited by the comment one of the participants made at the end: "I want to know more German", and how different this was from her previous experience of German class. I am sorry my host cut the video at that point: you are right it was priceless ! To be fair, I had asked her to only record the demo. The participant also said they used to memorize useless phrases such as "where is my pipe?", there was a lot of book study, and it was boring. How cool for her to experience something joyful and useful she can bring back to her own students. PS: es freut mich, dass Story Listening deinen Studenten gefaellt! Bis bald!

(*in correction of my previous post: I meant to say dissolve doubts, not disparage ;-) Je vous remercie de votre réponse rapide et si encourageante! It is especially children with attention deficiencies who benefit from a comprehensible and meaningful way of teaching. Parents of two different kids who come to my classes reported back to me that their children simply loved the foreign languages and the way they're taught. I firmly believe in CI and TPRS. The only thing I am still struggeling is teaching comprehensibly in the upper classes (grade 10 and above/5th year learners and above). Their reactions are much more reserved than those of my younger students. But then again I guess the older students are simply not used to being taught this way... Danke für deine Antwort und viel Erfolg in der Zukunft! Ich werde auf jeden Fall weiter deine Videos anschauen und Blogeinträge lesen. Liebe Grüße aus Dresden!
