Was feeling a bit groggy this morning because suhoor was a lot earlier than when I usually eat breakfast but Mashallah watching this video and seeing your smile and the amount of energy you have has lifted my spirits ! Last Ramadan was just before I converted. I did somehow participate, I fasted around half of it and I mostly focused on the spirituality part. This year will be my first one as a revert and I can't wait. I know I tend to be really hard on myself and get to a really dark place when I cannot live up to my expectations. So I want to be kind to myself this month and just do my best inshallah🙂

In Islam, 'trying your best' is the maximum expectation from you. There's no highest fixed standard. So make up the intention to be doing the best you can even if you might fail. I reverted in januari and this is my first ramadan. The first 2 days have been quite difficult for me but in sha Allah it will be better. I do my best and Allah knows my intentions. Ramadan mubarak for everyone!

Quran 2:185-186 (185) It was in the month of Ramadan that the Quran was revealed as guidance for mankind, clear messages giving guidance and distinguishing between right and wrong.
