Congratulations sister Just remember, all you did is changing your compass. There is still a road to walk toward Allah, and the means by which, and thru which you walk that road is how you will be judged. On that road you will find many distractions, accusations, people that actually , know that you are on the right path just want to distract you out of hate, or jealousy or ignorance, or for whatever reasons they might have. You need to stay focused on your mission in life and that is to end it well and go to heaven. We are here on a temporary trip. We are here staying for a while and no matter how long you'll live, you will leave to go live a never ending life, everything else is a distraction. The hate, the ignorance, and many other things. How I manage Ramadhan I am an engineer in America. I get 2 weeks of annual leave “vacation “. I get 2 weeks of sick leave. In Europe, they get 1 full month of vacation time. Sick time is what ever, your doctor decides. We will discuss Europe later. Ramadhan starts. I take 5 days of vacation “holiday” time. That is actually 9 days because of the weekend, before and after. That is 1/3 of Ramadhan. 3 weekends left I take a sick day , every Friday for these 3 weekends. Total 9 days. That is almost 2/3 of Ramadhan. I stay up all night, until Suhoor and morning prayer. Go to sleep 💤 until 2pm. That is my 8 hours of sleep. Do dhuhur prayer. Read Qurann and help my wife prepare Iftar or go shopping for her. Asir prayer , then chill until Maghreb and Iftar time. Some Muslims combine dhuhur and Asir prayers, that makes managing the day much easier. Europe Most European countries give you a solid 1 month vacation “holiday” time. Most European countries have cold climates. Europeans use their vacation time , to go on vacation to sunny climate vacation spots. Southern Spain, southern France. When living and working in Europe. I take my yearly vacation in Ramadhan. I book an hotel/apartment for 1 month, in a city in a sunny Muslim country destination. Mecca, Medina, are 1st choices. The other choices would be; Jeddah, Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi,Kuwait, Muscat, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Tunisia , Algeria , Casablanca, etc. Enjoy the month of Ramadhan every year in a different Muslim city/country. Kill 2 birds with one stone, by combining your vacation time with Ramadhan. This should be the master plan for Ramadhan, for every Muslim family, living in a non Muslim country. Ps. School for children is a challenge, but with Covid-19, most schools are now equipped with remote learning. Thank you so much, for allowing me to share my experience about Ramadhan. I am 40 and spiritually lost. To be honest, I hated Islam when younger and served in the US military. Over the last few years, something about Islam is almost like reaching out to me. I see the strength and values of Muslim families, and the strength of their faith. Where do I turn if I am interested in learning more. The Islamic community isn't exactly big where I live, and I feel too nervous to just go to the Islamic center as an outsider who knows nobody there.

There’s a really great institute called Yaqueen institute yaqueeninstitute.org with great videos by Dr. Omar Suleiman , they are on KZbin as well and you can definitely learn more about Islam there with lectures and webinars . Just a better insight on Islam in general. I also really believe in community and hopefully the Mosque near you is all about that. I would try reaching out by email first and see what they say!
