4:33 - "Under Score - Indigo". I don't listen to House music as much anymore these days but Food Music is one of my favorite Bass House/UK Garage labels. The Walker & Royce remix of that track is also great (;

Hey Christian I was wondering. As a newer DJ, but a guy who has used decks before would you recommend the XDJ-RX. I don't really want to use a controller to laptop connection. I love the feel of just strait decks. As a beginner and person who plans on advancing I think this would be a good investment now, but I'm not sure what college may hold for me. What are your recommendations?
@babaenver068 жыл бұрын
New CDJ can be slow because it's loading like twice the information on the CDJ2000NXS' while a track is loading. It can be better, yes; but it's acceptable for 8 hot cues and full colored waveforms without any computer software running. I'm sure that this problem will be fixed in next firmware updates.

love the track selection! big up for bassline
@nikitamarinko75708 жыл бұрын
sucks that where I live (czech republic europe, they are still in the past and the most common style is big room and bass house right now, bass house is kinda ok I guess, depends on the track tho..) I ve been mixing bassline, uk garage and techno for a couple of years and I just realised that it started growing this scene. Makes me happy.

Did you pay full price for the whole set? Or were you able to obtain a special discount somewhere? I just sold my CDJ-2000 Nexus (2) and my DJM-900 Nexus (1), but I obviously didn't get as much money as if they were to have been brand new so I'm trying to see if theres a certain place I could get them with a little discount.

I saw your unboxing videos and just realized that the NXS2 gear has different dimensions than the NXS line. Have you tried test fitting the NXS2 gear in the odyssey cases? I plan on picking up a set along with an FX coffin but now I am starting to wonder if it will all fit.

+Christian Jackson Sweet. Planning a FFX coffin rig with a built in surge protector and wired router. That way I can just roll up plug in a single powercon cable and hookup main/booth sends.

Great video, top DJ set, should have been prime time slot mate, if I brought some pioneers to a club, i would want 2 hour peak time slot, keep up your cool videos, did the music sound more pumped with the new nexus2 mixer outputs n sound card with 64 bit processing ???

+Christian Jackson I own both the rane 64 and a pioneer rmx 1000. I want to sell both and get the djm 900nxs2. But I'm not sure if I would need the rmx 1000. I'm transitioning to a pioneer mixer for the 1st time. would the djm mixer replace the rmx1000 , does it have about the same effects? Please let me know if it would be a smart move to sell them. Thx

Impressed. Not a CDJ person myself (turntables) but would love to get a DJM 900 NXS2 for purely one reason - it's improved sound quality. It would overkill as the venues I play are not equipped with decent sound. Great video!
@MXMLN698 жыл бұрын
Then just buy an Xone 92, sounds way better than every pioneer and the price is lower. Didnt get the hype about pio mixers, they are just overpriced plasticcrap. I mean the build quality overall is loosy as fuck and the sound quality of djm 750/700/600 etc. is bad as shit. Even the newer models are no comparsion when it comes to sound and build quality.

amazing gig man!! i love the djm 900 nxs2, so I want to ask a question if this mixer has a clear high quality sound? Does it have any problems? and what about the cdj's touch screen? does the look durable to u ? thnx man!

*does it look...?
@christianjackson8 жыл бұрын
+Enea Gjordeni I like the mixer so far. I'm not a very good authority on determining sound quality to be honest. My ears aren't that trained. DJM is worth the upgrade, the CDJs aren't as cool as I had hoped.

+Enea Gjordeni n' an other question: can u plug (for example) a rmx 1000 into the Send&Return front place, or should u plug it in the back of the mixer as the originals? thank you man!

Enea Gjordeni RMX uses send return. maybe in the future it will be able to use USB but I doubt it.

I have a 6tb hard drive of music or should I get USB drives cause I seen a lot of ppl using USB drives advice
@bencarlisle81248 жыл бұрын
Lord Dragon377 I find using a large hard drive takes longer to load up and search through tracks because of the amount of music on it
@ddgarage70258 жыл бұрын
Hard drives fail much more often than USBs, I always carry 2 USBs with me if I'm using CDJs. Also, like ben said, it'd take longer to load up tracks.
@bencarlisle81248 жыл бұрын
DD I also use individual USB for that reason, only have a hard drive as a back up, plus your not carrying about a laptop or hard drive everywhere

it's always the same the best technical djs do not have a lot gigs or do not have any gigs it is the same with me, know a lot about that what im doing but nobody cares and out there in the booth are the redlining idiots or kids that don't know what theyre doing..
@ImOnAGoat918 жыл бұрын
+HTBLuVA A bit easy to just blame the others, isn't it? On the dancefloor, no one cares if you're a "great technical DJ" (whatever that is anyway...). It's expected that you know your equipment. DJing is all about knowing your tracks and living in the moment to create a unique atmosphere. Also you need to have a great network to get gigs. There are just way too many DJ's out there nowadays - so you have to put in a lot of effort to get those gigs. Blaming others won't get you far.
@christianjackson8 жыл бұрын
+ImOnAGoat91 That's exactly what I was going to type. thanks for saving me the time. spot on

+Christian Jackson Each DJ has their own unique "fingerprint". One DJ isn't the same as another. They all have their own unique little touch that makes them different.
@edgarayala9458 жыл бұрын
Listen to the other comments. Build your network and eventually your skills will be noticed. Always remember to do it for yourself, not for others, or you will never be happy. Prove to yourself that you're a good deejay by being able to rock the crowd in a way that feels good to you.
@Austin-qi6us8 жыл бұрын
HTBLuVA the inky reason those idiots get a gig is because they have at good following that's all night club owners care about if you get a lot of heads in the clubs no matter how bad or good you are of a dj they'll give you a gig
