chaseontwowheels BEAUTIFUL bike I can't wait to see the next rebuild! I have a 03 SV650 naked with the street fighter look and same with my bike 1,2,3,4 gear is all my power in around 6-9k rpm
It's amazing how ducati made monsters from 9 years ago and when you put them aside the new ones, they don't look old at all. Awesome monster bro. That exhaust is lit.

yes monsters kept the style

That's how I feel about my Monster. People will never understand how amazing these Ducati Monsters sound. I'd recommend some blending between clutch and throttle to smooth things out. The bike looks and sounds great, nicely done dude. *It's way smoother on the highway because it likes to go fast...riding slow is no no on these Monsters. If you're not an experience rider, I would NOT recommend these older Monster to people. I'd recommend a 2011 and up with ABS and slipper clutch. Much better experience.

The sound is the one thing i really miss from my Monster. Changed to a s1000r wich is a better bike in everyway, except the sound. Not much sounds as good as engine braking an dry clutch Ducati.

Cpt_Easykill Me too! I love everything about my Supersport S, but the thing I miss about my Monster is the sound.
@charleshoward89717 жыл бұрын
i know the s1000r i way more powerful and handles better, but why is the sound the only thing you miss? i genuinely want to know. was the monster unreliable? uncomfortable? tell me please.
@Engman787 жыл бұрын
Charles Howard I never had any problems with my Monster. The Monster 900 wich I had is less comfortable than the BMW. It is twitchy on/off throttle. But I really still like the Monster. Awesome bike.

That sound is giving me flashbacks. My 2009 Monster 696 was the best bike I've ever owned. Those old 2 valve motors were so wonderful sounding. That bike was finicky, but the character is unreal. And I never once and a maintenance issue with it. The cramped up leg position was the one big put-off for me. I put dropper pegs on mine.

Hey Chase! Congrats on finally being done with WBR Season 1. It was enthralling and amazing to say the least. For Season 2, how about you shortlist some bikes and take a poll from your subs so that it's an even more engaging experience for the audience. It would make us feel that much more attached and engaged to the bike, knowing that we had a contribution(even though it's small). Keep up the good work. Can't wait for season 2. Cheers!

Enjoyed watching the monster build. I a ducati rider my self I owned a Ducati 749s, a 1198s, and I currently ride a 1299 and am building a Virago cafe racer. The is nothing like the torque and sound of a Ducati, they are special bikes. You get on the L-Twin bandwagon

Welcome to the world of big ass V-twin sportbikes! The first time I experienced that "angry" engine shake, I was impressed and shocked! My EBR feels like it is going to explode when I crack the throttle more than one quarter, but by then you are more concerned with staying connected to the handlebars! None of that four cylinder buzz and screech...

Chase, you were right next to a perfect place to do some parking lot rev footage. You did a Uturn on McFarland Pkwy. Next time just keep going East on McFarland past the next light then take the first right at Gateway Classic Autos. Behind their building those guys have a long stretch where they hot rod their cars all day every day. Nobody would complain about the noise there. Trust me on that....I work in the next building and watch them from my office window. You might see some impressive cars while youre at it. Oh and friggin love that bike!

Everything you're saying about this monster is how I felt about mine. These newer monsters seem to lack the character, the engine breaking, the snarl etc. of the circa 2013 monsters. Although it does help riding a bike with aftermarket slip ons vs. stock of course. In your video riding the 797 (i think) it seemed literally everything you said was the opposite of how my 796 was and didn't make me want a newer monster one bit.

I have driven many motorcycles but never one like this, (I know this is not the most powerfull bike) but in this motorcycle you can feel many sensations that in others are null. thats why y love this bike. The low end of that bike reminds me of my 84 V45 Magna. Lots of low end torque but between 8-10k rpm it has much less torque however it's happiest then and enjoys flying through gears in that area. Bikes with low end torque are always satisfying to drive around.
