I could watch your reviews in the open fields and on gravel roads for days. So relaxed, informative while entertaining and perfectly captured. Great job by the whole team!

This is a great bike. And still a good value for what it is. Got my frame from Mike's!

Where do I start? How about this- I love this bike! I got mine with 2xGRX and intentions of using it as a road bike and a gravel bike. Road wheels are Shimano Ultegra C36 with GP5000’s x 30mm. I’m used to riding essentially superbikes that cost twice as much and are purpose built for racing. I was prepared for the Aspero to be a compromise Road Bike. But it is really good. It definitely feels less “twitchy” than a race bike but less Twitchy could also be expressed as “more comfortable”. Call it a great all day bike. I am just wrapping up a week in the Rockies and On the gravelly single track it is incredible. What feels a bit slow on the road feels totally perfect, fast, responsive on the trails. I rode on surfaces best suited to mtn bikes and this thing just kicked ass. I can’t believe how it climbs. Winding through the rocks and roots I just had to look where I wanted to go and it went there. I just kept being ready to bail when the bike(and I) met our limit and it just didn’t happen. If there really is such a thing as a bike that can do “almost” all… this is it. Chapeau Cervelo!

Great review fellas! Nice concise experiential info. This puts the Aspero at the top of my shopping list.

Chris Hall has some after market rear rack, looks like it can handle as a pseudo tourer

Do you know if Aspero-5 will accept any other stems/barstems with internal routing? The cover of the headsets seeems proprietary, as well as d-shaped steerer tube. How about Enve aerostem and Chris King aero headset? It's a little sad to be limited to literally one option when it comes to your cockpit.

Did anybody right at $3000 Cervelo? And if so, how did it handle? I own the Cervelo R3 and with size 28C tires on it it rides really nice.

It handles so good on everything. I came from a 2015 r3 and it basically feels like the handling of my road bike that I can take on anything from fire roads to single track. And on the road it just feels like a more comfortable r3. I cannot recommend this bike enough

Right now you can get apex 1 for 2300 and it’s a killer deal.

I am really considering buying a SC Stig (the purple) or a Aspero 1. Can't decide it. What you guys would say as the better decision?

For a fair share of gravel and pavement: Cervelo Aspero. For more technical rides: Santa Cruz Stigmata. These bikes are totally different (in terms of geometry) but a blast for what they are designed for. And they are fast and a lot of fun to ride with. Cervelo Aspero with Rival eTap and Reverse 32 wheels is a perfect bike for speedy gravel while SC‘s Stigmata with Force eTap and Reverse 25 wheels (650B) is a dream bike for rough terrain rides.

@@SoManyMilesI’d disagree with this. Yes the aspero is great on the road, but it does not compromise on rougher terrain. Ive taken this bike on some trails definitely more suited for a mtb, and it’s a blast. Sure the stig will be more comfortable on that stuff, but performance wise the aspero can do anything as long as your wrists can handle the chatter. And it’s so twitchy that you can just whip it around, but the low bottom bracket makes it feel so stable. Cannot recommend the aspero enough

Would this bike be faster then a giant roam 0 on paved but somewhat bumpy biking paths?
