Yes, let's place the first time rider towards a tree 30 feet away. That can't go wrong

When riding a bike for the first time A: be on grass to soften the inevitable crash B: aim for a nearby bush so that crash will happen at a lower speed C: repeat as necessary

This was one of my biggest fears when I was first learning, that's why we learned on smaller dirt bikes and ( yes I'm that old ) 3 wheelers. Good to see you landed soft and thanks for having the guts to put this up.

I agree with the others. .. probably not the best bike for him to start out on as he is clearly struggling with reaching the controls. looks like he was also caught out when he let the clutch lever just flick right out. But good on him having a sense of humour and sharing the video. Everyone comes off at some point, not everyone gets back on. ...

@gslrider10 жыл бұрын
Lol! A couple of things. First, you have to learn to ride a bike before you actually ride one. Second, if your a first time rider, NEVER buy a new bike, or even a pricey used one. Buy a decent beater. Because, as you can see, you will dump it. Most new riders dump their first bike. Hopefully there wasn't too much damage.

the best bike for a learner is a road trail bike because if things go wrong and you need to Mount the curb to save yourself you have a lot better chance stay on the bike if you were riding a Harley or road bike.

approximately 46 second in this clip look at his left hand, it isn't controlling the clutch, no clutch control in 1st basically means no bike control, I don't think the bike is to big he can clearly get his feet flat on the floor, stupid handlebars don't help, I crashed my brothers dirt bike aged 14, ("let the clutch out") he told me , so I did at about 7thousand rpm. one big out of control wheelie later his bike is hanging from a wire mesh fence. that was my first ride 35 years ago, still riding and fucking loving it, I soon learned clutch control, currently on gsxr1000k5. shame mobile phones weren't around then you tube would have loved it.
