I noticed you were riding with it in "rain" mode. Wait till you give it a go in "Sport" mode. Big diference in power delivery, the smile gets bigger. Also I do get false nutrual from 1st to 2nd regularly, does my head in but its a small price to pay for such a great alrounder.

Nice one, I am a new owner to the Triumph Tiger 1050 sport and I love it. I am about to remove a lowering kit from my bike and reinstalling the original kit. Subbed. 👍👊

Fuel gauge always takes a while to come up and you definitely have a blown bulb. They are a cracking and very underrated bike. I have had mine for 10 years

Got myself a 1st Gen Tiger Explorer in December. Love them. They are a beast of a bike. Ride safe. Great content. Wish I had the knowledge and time to rebuild a salvage bike

I love the front end on the explorer something about the headlight and the beak underneath that I really like.

14:33 Had mine arond 2 1/2 years now, good all rounder, no centre stand on mine so fitted an aftermarket one makes life easier to work on it. Annoyingly had to get the fork seals changed at arond 10k miles, also the radiator decided to start leaking, which bloody annoyed the hell out of me, as it was only 5 years old at the time. Ref grabbing neutral check the gear lever is tight on the splines, I thought it was me, but on close inspection the lever was loose, after tightening it up made a world of difference.

Yeah I’m looking forward to getting the tiger completely done very soon so can have a much longer ride. But like you said it’s a brilliant all rounder bike. Thanks for the tip I’ll check the gear lever 👍🏻

I had a 2015 Tiger sport as my first litre bike and did 24k happy miles on it! If you’re keeping it, a Nitron Rear shock and RaceTech Gold valve fork upgrade kit are a worthwhile investment! Well done on getting it finished looks epic!

Thanks, yeah I’ve put hyperpro springs in the forks which feel amazing on the front. Might have to look into upgrading that rear shock like you mentioned 👍🏻.

You will definitely enjoy that bike, I have one, it's great. False neutrals are rare in my experience so maybe just got to get used to the stubby gear lever and headlights should have two lights working; probably just a wire. Enjoy😊

Good job on the rebuild..stonking bikes!!..if its too tall you can get lowering dogleg kits or some from a honda blackbird.. I think..The forums a wealth of info etc.

Yeah I’m sure i see somewhere before aswell about using the parts from a Honda blackbird, definitely need to look into it as i need to lower the rear a little. Thanks

Great video. I own a pre-Sport 1050 and I must admit, the finish and switchgear on your bike looks much superior. Unlike my bike, both dipped headlights should come on together, so I'd check your offside bulb as it may be blown. Regarding the gearbox, yes, it is a bit clunky with the odd false neutral thrown in, but generally, it's trouble-free. So, in conclusion, I'd definitely keep the bike. It's a bit 'analogue' compared to ultra-modern machinery, but that's part of its appeal and it's comfortable for everyday riding, with a nice torquey triple engine thrown in for good measure! Enjoy the ownership and take care.

Thanks, yeah I did change the nearside bulb but must of forgot to check offside one, it’s probably blown aswell. I wasn’t sure if was being too soft with the gearbox haha so that’s good to know. Yeah really surprised with the triple, lovely engine more torque then i was expecting. Looking forward to going out for a long day on it.

I have a tiger sport, I'm 5' 11, it took some getting use to when i test rode mine 4 years ago. It's a different riding style altogether, especially at low speeds. When you get use to it, it's a great bike. You should have two lights on, the gearbox can be a bit notchy, just give it a bit more welly when changing gear. You have a great bike there.

Thanks, yeah just need a few more ridding hours to be more confident and comfortable on it. yeah I was granny shifting that's for sure, will have to ride it properly next time lol.

Yep you definitely have a bulb out. Tiger sports both lower lights come on dipped and both upper light on high beam

Thankyou. Yeah the nearside bulb i did change as that was blown. Then I’m sure they were both working. Perhaps they were both blown and I didn’t realise

Funny thing is that I've done exactly that. I got myself a Tiger 800 written off and fixed it all myself. It wasn't as bad as this one. Luckily, I didn't have to change the suspension, but I had to change the radiator anyway. It will be interesting to see how much it costs you from the auction price to all the parts. Really good luck with your channel. It's quite interesting. It's really helpful that you've got a mechanical background because every time I'm looking at something you're doing, I say, "Bloody hell, he's got all the tools!" For me, it was I had to buy the tools every time I got stuck, and it was just frustrating. Anyway, good luck matey

thanks mate, yeah there's no better satisfaction then fixing something up and getting it running and back on the road again. what damage did the Tiger 800 have? I will do a full breakdown of cost in the near future.

@@DGMotorcycles I was casually bidding on a website for a second bike, not entirely sure what I was getting into. My first bike was a GSR750, but I wanted an adventure bike this time. I ended up winning a written-off bike in an auction. It had damage on the side, bending the radiator and destroying all the side panels, side stand, and side kick. Luckily, it came with two keys and all the history books, making it a great first project. Looking forward to watch your next video keep it up mate

wow a bike with 2 keys and full history is extremally rare, sounds like you got a good bike there. that's the good thing about bike parts, aren't to expensive and fairings are easily replaceable @@joealex1700

@@DGMotorcycles I know I was very lucky honestly. I didn't know I was getting into and it turned out with two keys and the full history. Triumph parts aren't the cheapest . But it's so much fun to fix it 😄
