building a drag car is always an ambitious project, as the goal posts are constantly moving, chasing those seconds. What was once strong enough to start with, falls short as the wick gets wound up, The smile on Dave's face while revving it up was awesome. I hope you get that next goal before they move again Dave

Sounded like it had no compression from the first crank to get oil pressure up. Wicked car Dave wouldn't worry about the comments mate, I've built a few cars in my shed, working on my back night after night its not as easy as people think, most people struggle changing oil. Goodluck at the track.

Hey Al, if you turn the lagging (heat wrap) roll around the other way so it's coming out from "under" instead of "over" it's WAY easier to wind it on tight... I found that out working in a warehouse and using pallet wrap, it's the same action/motion

I really enjoy your videos ..I use to work at a power plant and there was all kinds of insulation there . The wrap reminded me of fire blankets we used to protect cable trays when welding . There was crews that built blankets to go around valves piping simular to the blanket used on the turbos . I worked on a d11 cat while back and it to had insulation blankets and covers to help control heat . You have a nice shop and well equipped. Thanks for the information you provide

Great job overall on the entire build. It was an awesome car to start with and I think Dave did a good job trying his best to make a race-car he could have fun in. Now that it's gotten the Skid Factory treatment, it'll definitely bring him even more fun. The double turbski's look awesome especially since you experimented with the Reverse Rotation one. The symmetry makes the whole kit look great. It sounds great and I'm sure this thing is gonna rip out on the track. Thanks for putting in the hard work to make a great project.

Glad to know the tape type, looks good. I have to fix the loop in a Nissan patrol. i use an old tyre tube to make rubber washers then use the metal washer against the radiator to save against galvanic action.

I am so impressed that you guys can measure for a belt and actually go get it. The local auto parts stores here in West Virginia just look at me odd when I ask for a short or longer belt. Even when trying to find a V belt for an old tractor or mower. They act like I'm asking for a miracle.

I LOVE the sound of twin turbos whistling away above the decelerating engine, I'd go and start the March just to hear it - but it's eight O'clock at night and that would not end well! Yep, ridding valves. You can pick weak compression by how it cranks. It’s always nice to hear that consistent ‘Choo,woo, woo,woo. When hitting the key for the first time. I love the inlet manifold, it’s cool.

Top tip: unroll the heat wrap the other way around and it will unroll at the right pace. Hard to explain. Try it! (Flip the roll around)

When working with any kind of fiber (exhaust wrap, fiberglass, carbon, fine dust from sanding metal/paint) rub some baby powder on your hands and arms or any exposed skin really. It clogs your pores so the fibers never get in to give you that itch. Washes off easy with a hose and shop rag when you're done

So, the exhaust wrap you used on the dump pipes has a 'frayed' edge and a 'çlean' edge, so when you wrap it you can keep it looking a lot neater if you expose the clean edge...

protip: wrap packing/pvc tape around your arm after you've done the heat wrap it will pull the fibers out of your skin.

Get the siemens 2430cc injectors. I use them with methanol and never had a issue. 2200s seem to corrode out.

I'm too lazy to go back and look, they had a vid of Dave's old version on an 1/8 mile track. Times translated to 12s? Maybe more? I forget. Anyways, I'm thinking this might do 10s. Don't know what rear end setup it has... 4 link tubbed like Benny's Cresta. I'm looking forward to it on the strip too! Dyno is interesting numbers but 1320 is where it counts.

You guys tell me what u think but ive "cleaned" or unstick injectors by shooting compressed air through the side fuel comes out until its moving. Not using any current except for that same trick as Al uses to blow cleaner through once the compressed air as done the hard job.. Been doing it on multiple top feed sizes without any issues. Hope that helps some of you!
