“It’s not like anyone is going to visit me anyways” that hit hard 🥺

You said, " It's not like anyone is going to visit me anyways.".... I would want to be your friend if you lived near me. I have terrible depression too and it's never fun being alone. Thank you for sharing with me ❤ Life is very hard for some of us.

No you would not "be friends" with him or "visit him" if you knew him irl. Stop this empty virtue signalling and sympathy

@@Crimeancel you could be right but i don't think they're vurtue signalling, in fact I would visit him too so I'm not alone xmas eve

this is a great first step! I'd try using baking soda, scrubbing it in with a toothbrush that I don't need anymore, and let it set in to absorb any odors, I'd give it around 30 minutes before vacuuming. thank you for the motivation, I'm going to try cleaning my room
@tammy64963 жыл бұрын
I just want to say. Thank you. You have no idea how much this motivated me to shower and clear my bed. I have been feeling so utterly lost and numb, you know how it is. When you said “it did not deliver turbo results” I don’t know why but it had me howling. It is the first time I’ve laughed at anything in months. It looks amazing!!! So happy you got it done. I know we don’t always have visitors but it’s YOU the space should be nice for ❤️ You really do deserve it

"it's better late than never" exactly right. I call my depression room a depression hoard. I am so incredibly embarrassed by my habits when I am not in a state of mania. It's like my garbage can doesn't exist and my home turns into a dumpster. Even tho this was a very small mess I understand how hard it is and this video has been the most transparent I've watched. Thank you for sharing and making us all feel stronger in our fight with our illnesses.

being clean always gives me the feeling of having more space, which is important for mental health. on a side note, I recommend just buying a carpet cleaning vacuum, or renting one from a home depot. You'd bhe amazed at how much more dirt is in your carpet, i have almost the same exact carpet as you.

Hey man, thanks for making this. It may seem very meager and underwhelming, but the fact that you stuck with making this video, from its conception to uploading, is ample evidence that you have what it takes to improve yourself. I'm also depressed - I've thought about making videos like these a lot but my self-hating brain shoots the ideas down somewhere along the process as being not worthwhile or futile, but I can use this video to fight that feeling. Be proud of this man; tackling a long-neglected situation like your room requires strength and you did great. Also your hair is awesome.

Thank you for making this video. I have the same struggle. I still backslide a lot and find myself in a home filled with clutter, dust trash and dirty dishes piling up, but I try to push myself do small things more often to not let it take over as often. It’s very easy to feel shame and stress when things get out of hand, but that’s the depression talking. Ultimately having the strength for gestures like cleaning off your desk, or doing dishes means you’re fighting it. Keep going and good luck!

I have the same shit going on, however it's the entire apartment. It's lke a war, so overwhelming. To not clutter the room after you cleaned it you have to start by focusing on a small area to maintain until it becomes 'easy' or habitual.
@lillymunster78103 жыл бұрын
It looks great, you did really good. It's hard to find motivation when you're depressed. If you're reading this and you can't find the motivation to do anything cause it's overwhelming and it's just a complete disaster, you don't have to do it all in one go. Just pick up a few things off the floor, it doesn't have to make a big impact. Do it again tomorrow too. One step at a time. If it takes a few months to clean your room, then so be it. It's better than it was.

Nice video. It's actually super courageous that you could share this picture of your life. Mine is similar and would never want anyone to see my living situation. I put this video on when I'm cleaning sometimes. It helped me greatly to see that I'm not the only one like this. No one is perfect all the time. "It did not give me a turbo result..." Made me do a "Hah!" lol Also for future reference, Dyson for vacuums, a bit expensive but great investment and definitely gets all the hair off the carpet, I have the V11 Torque and it really does help especially when I'm shedding hair like crazy because stress and compulsive hair strand pulling and picking.
