Idle should never be adjusted with throttle cable. Proper adjustment is done on TORS unit mounted on top of carburetor

So one thing you gotta do when putting a new chain on is loosen in the chain tensioner thing all the way and then take a few links off the chain. Then when lithe chain stretches you have room to tighten it. You did a good job bringing it from the died though.

Idles not bad, maybe a step down on the pilot jet. After you hit the throttle it should die back down to idle rather quickly. Seems slightly rich, but id rather be rich than lean. Cool scoot my man you revived her! Iam sure a little more messing around will tie up loose ends, they all have their quirks dont get discouraged.

Did you line up the counterbalance gear properly? A misaligned counterbalance shaft would definitely make everything vibrate loose

Us bogans here in Australia call rain "drift lube" literally makes out under powered Holden commodores act like a blown ls! Never drifted a quad on we grass though. I'm guessing just as fun as the 1998 vt commodore lol

An old friend of mine had an older version blaster clutch used to slip but I guess it had some aftermarket things done to it but let me tell you what I had a blast on it and that thing would never die no matter what it was his was red and white with a dg pipe good memories good times

Bought my blaster brand new in 1988. It was white with red plastics. Only thing that ever broke in 5 years was a star gear or whatever they call it. Wouldn't shift into second. Was that the parking brake you cut off?

That blaster sounds horrible with that stock exhaust 😂🤣 but runs alright. But wouldn’t expect you to change. the exhaust if your just going to be selling it soon. Personally id keep it I’ve always wanted a blaster. Wish I could find a junkyard blaster for cheap. For a fixer upper 🤟

I was surprised after going to a schoolmate’s house in 1990, to see a brand new blaster in his garage. I’d never ridden a 2-Stroke Quad before, so it blew my mind. Blasters are perfect for youngsters with intermediate riding skills, to advance IMO. I love them & they still get me excited.
