You picked out all the things that I noticed. One of the best performances I’ve ever seen.

Really nice reaction - Cynthia is indeed a wonderful singing actor, arguably the best Britain has ptoduced since Julie Andrews. Arguably the best ever, because Cynthhia has _soul._. I recommend you to check out her performance of Ain't No Way from the BBC Proms because it's in the Royal Albert Hall, with full orchestra and cracking backup singers, and it is as fine an evocation of Miss Aretha as you are ever likely to hear. It's stunning, With love from the UK 🇬🇧

I really like her performance of ain’t no way too, it’s my the most favorite song and super difficult song but Cynthia nailed it!
@lovebug3078Ай бұрын
It absolutely is! She is channeling Aretha in that song. She's the best out there!!

I can't stop listening to this version with Cynthia! Stunning. Rich in lyric/story. I'd forgotten what a great song this is by Burt Bacharach. Also, love Cynthia singing I'm Here from The Color Purple. You also need to bring Voctave to your channel!

Please do not react to I'm Here from the Kennedy Centre Honours, because it's a fake video. Cynthia didn't sing that song at the KCH to honour Oprah, Jennifer Hudson did. Cynthia's performance was on Colbert's show, and someone decided to splice the two together. Her performance is excellent, but she does have a cold. Better go with the live stage recording from the show on Broadway, where she sings beautifully _and_you get to see the marvel that is her acting.

@@Ozymandi_as I always wondered if something was off with that video! Now, it's so obvious. I'm happy with any other version, too.

I love how at 9:38 she sang the line "let your heart" in a clear South London accent - she's from Stockwell, South West London.

Loved your comments. You can't go wrong with the pro shot of I'm Here or her Oscar performance of "Stand Up" or any of her performances with the astounding Shoshanna Bean.

Yes to ALLLLL of those suggestions! Cynthia is incredible and when she paired up with the amazing Shoshanna 😲🤯

You definitely need to listen to stand up and I’m here, I mean Cynthia is extremely talented with every song she sings but these 2 songs stick with me on the daily!

Always loved this song. So original in every way. The lyrics, the meandering architecture are magnificent. One of Bacharach/David's best. And Queen Aviro does it sublime justice.

I absolutely loved this performance by Cynthia. Also, as a huge Prince fan, I happened to see in the cue Cynthia doing "Nothing compares to you." All I have to say is OMG! You HAVE to watch it. ❤

I'm glad I found your channel❤ Wonderful critique/analysis! Had to come back and edit this. Dionne Warwick, yes recorded this in one take. She recorded without a demo. She just read the sheet music and sang.

Loved your reaction and your voice is beautiful by the way, Cynthia is one of those singers that you just FEEL what they're singing you should definitely react to her version of ain't no way by Aretha Franklin and also her performance at the 2020 Oscar's of her original song "stand up" from the movie Harriet both will give you chills

I’ve noticed with Cynthia many times singing a long extended high note she holds her head up and back with throat open. Because you are a vocal coach, is there a reason she does this? My daughter and myself who are singers have had a conversation about Cynthia doing this. It’s not a criticism because she sounds and looks stunning but just curious as to why she does this. Love your videos and kind, encouraging comments. Thank you. 😎

It’s usually not recommended because it can lead to tension and straining, however I think Cynthia is just built different
@alemobra57472 ай бұрын
i think it's just an expression tool, it's usually much harder to sing higher with your head up like that

Basically the singer explains to "Alfie" how to show up for love and being loved. I've always felt Alfie wanted true love but his actions said the opposite. Landing him alone. Again. it could be a friend speaking to him or an ex lover. She asks him "what's it all about"..? I like to think it's an ex lover that wanted more from him. hits deeper. Also what I think what Cynthia really does beautifully in addition, is add that little "cry" to the start of words or a tone. it really amps up this emotional experience. she's a masterclass

This song has been around since I was a boy and I have never really liked it,, not Miss Warwick's performance but the song. However, this PERFORMANCE really made the lyric work for me: wake-up dumb arse your wasting your life. Her phrasing l, the way. She touches the Ts on and on is just magic. Wishe I could have been in the room to feel the audience energy.

Would you be willing to react to BABYMETAL? I would suggest starting their recent live performance of Light and Darkness, and Monochrome from their latest PIA Arena 2023 concerts, as well as the piano version of Monochrome on The First Take, where you can really hear Su's vocals. (I added a playlist to the reply of this post with these, and other recent performances).

1966. The movie is about man who sleeps around a lot. Abortion is a theme. The movie was very controversial. The subject matter. It seems ridiculous today. It made a big star out of Michael Caine.
