Yikes! That looked violent, when I first watched it I thought someone ripped the garage door off the track trying to open it in a panic but that had to be one heck of an explosion to blow them all out like that. Thank goodness no one was hurt and everything is fine for the most part.

Tragic and somewhat comical, but above all it was full of valuable lessons that others can learn from. Some post their mistakes and some don’t but glad you did in this case. I bet after watching this video many will take a look at their own garage/shop situation and wonder “what if” and will make some changes and preparations.

Oh my goodness, thank God everyone is ok, and also that nothing else burned, including your shop or any cars. Looks like everyone did a decent job trying to extinguish it. Fire is Always my #1 concern when firing up a new engine, or a component just worked on, Can never have too many Fire Extinguishers. Accidents and Mistakes happen, it's how we learn from them to prevent them from happening again. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family.

Holy macaroni! Thank god everyone and everything is ok. Also thanks for sharing, you could have easily not said anything but it’s a great teaching moment for everybody. Seems like there been a heck of a lot of shop/vehicle fires this past year or so, enough where it’s gotten me thinking about how easily it could happen and that I should make more of a conscious effort to be safer and better prepare for preventing one of my own. If you take anything away from this out of everything I’d hope you’d see how important it is to store that M1 in a separate area and or in a fire safe drum cabinet. Like you said, had it made it to those it could have been bye bye everything.

Hey kye I have been in a fire in Annapolis MD back in 86 and lost every tool and tool boxes I owned 😢 I totally understand what you went thru I'm guessing you have fire extinguishers between every door now if not please get em!!!! First things First, Get yourself a good set of ABC fire extinguishers, just in case this case happens again. ABC fire extinguishers deals with all kinds of fire including the gas fire. I used to work for an automotive paint store where we mix paint and deliver. in that stores has about 8 or more fire extinguishers to help put out the fire
