Al Green is one of a kind. He can get more out of, and add more to, any song that anyone I know. His voice and versatility are amazing. One of my all time favorite singers.❤

I’m a HUGE Bee Gees fan and love their version, but what an honor to have had Al Green cover it. He definitely made it his own. His studio recording is perfection, so much so that this Bee Gees fan can’t say one version is better than the other. They each stand firmly on their own. I only wish he had released it as a single. Definitely had top of the chart potential. His live performances are awesome. Makes you believe he feels every word deeply. Super talented vocalist and performer!!! One quality of Al Green I love . The Reverand always , always takes his time . He never rushes the performance he takes his time I appreciate that alot. When his says wait a minute hes extending more to his performance . And hes in a good mood and hes in the groove .Hes just simply beautiful . Another great soul singer. Al Green had a lot of great songs in the 70's including "Take Me To The River", "Tired Of Being Alone", "I'm Still In Love With You", "Love & Happiness", "Let's Stay Together", "For The Good Times" etc. He also became a pastor after facing a tragedy in his life (girlfriend's suicide) & performed gospel music for a time. "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart" was written by the Bee Gees & was a big hit for them in 1971.
