Everyone in Detroit and even in the states of Michigan all know Bob Seger. I grew up listening to him. My dad knew Bob Seger when he was in a motorcycle club in the late 60's into the 70's. My dad met him at another singer's house. Mitch Rider. Mitch Rider lived a few blocks from my house.

He played our local bars way back when with his band The Bob Seger System. He had one of the very best anti-Viet Nam songs with 2+2. We were lucky to be able to go to regular bars and see national acts like him, Mitch Rider, MC5, The Stooges, and so many others.

Night moves, can be the first time holding hands, or the first kiss, or something else too. In the bridge, night moves is time, moving on. It's a man reflecting on his past, and it's funny how the night moves, with autumn closing in. Autumn, the later season in your life, when you remember the things in your past. You don't have as much to lose, because you have less in front of you, than what you have behind you.
