The 'quiver' you were talking about is called a "Meer" which is basically a skill of gliding over notes (instead of resting on them like in the western music) and just skimming the microtones as well. Her speciality, In my opinion, is how she is able to sing in different languages. Her mother tongue is Bengali, but if you hear her sing in, let's say, Malayalam, you would think she is a native Malayalam speaker. Same is true when she sings in Hindi or Telugu or any other Indian language. When we speak a different language, most of the time it's possible to say if we are native speakers or not, but not when Shreya Ghoshal sings. I believe it's a god given gift she has got.

If you want to check high notes of arijit do check his gima awards performance , it consists of a medley and in the end he also sung aayat and it requires very great vocal agility Also check his dua live performance It's a semiclassical song but he changed the composition and made it rock , in the end he did a sargam(which u will see in the video) and his vocal agility and breath management is insane Also check out mere dholna by shreya it's extremely difficult song

Melodies in Indian music are classified by an ancient system of ragas. A raga (pronounced RAH-guh) is a collection of pitches, kind of like a scale or mode in Western music. Each raga is defined, however, not only by the pitches themselves, but also by specific formulas for using them.
