The song was recorded using a talkbox - a device that was connected to Richie Sambora's guitar. The sound from the guitar is fed through a plastic tube into Sambora's mouth. By changing the shape of his mouth, Sambora can alter the sound which is then picked up by a regular microphone. Loved you guys' enthusiasm for this song in this video. It fueled my own.

This song has always been and will always be EPIC!! I agree with what y'all said, it is a very vibe song and you can hear it. The passion in it. Most people have had a time in their lives they can relate to this song and those who haven't one day will. Being down on luck and having the odds stacked against you and you feel like your running on fumes and faith alone. It's a song about just pushing through the hard times cause you can make it. I had to smile through this whole video just to see u young gentle men enjoy the music i grew up with in the 80's . The 80's was known for the big hair and our rock bands all had the big long hair which u all probably know them as hair bands. I'm so glad i was lucky enough to grow up in the 80's we had the best music ever. The 80's were just the best for me in everything. I'm just so glad u guys r getting to experience it because of this thing called the Internet. Enjoy it guys and stay safe.
