I am constantly blown away by her talent. I can count on one hand modern singers who can draw emotion from any song, and Courtney is the Queen [with a capital Q] of the list. This song also is so universal, yet personal to each viewer/listener. I just cannot wait for her album, it will be worth it.

Yes it's an original. All three of her official releases this year are. I think her producer Kevin Bowe co-wrote all three. I think all of us who fell in love with Courtney Hadwin 5 years ago want to hear her rock some more. It's coming. She's teased clips of at least two hard rockers, Dance Party which I think is solid gold, and Monsters which even leans toward metal. But if you go back 6,7, sometimes more than 8 years, before America's Got Talent, even before Voice Kids UK, videos of Courtney singing are mostly ballads. Besides, before long she'll be doing whole concerts of her own, whole tours of concerts. If she ramps it up to talent show level all the time she'll collapse.

Hi QoFy. You are so right. No one sings with the passion and intensity that Courtney does.I think this incredible song and performance gets to everyone who hears it.. This performance just rips your heart out. The song itself is so raw and powerful and Courtney sings with so much passion. Then you add the intensity of this incredible video on top of it. If you don't feel the pain and anguish this song and video conveys, then you don't have a pulse. I don't know how many times I've listened and watched this so far, but even when I know what's coming, it doesn't get any easier. What Courtney can do both vocally and visually never ceases to amaze. BTW, I thought the ending with the phone ringing and Courtney answering was brilliant. However, we actually don't know who's on the other end of the line. It's left an open question as to who's on the other end, but it ends a song full of pain and angst with a feeling of hope for everyone that has just gone on this heavy emotional ride with Courtney . 🔥🔥🔥🔥 So yes, this is a Courtney original. Third original she has released so far this year after 'Breakable' and 'That Girl Don't Live Here'. All have been sensational and there is more to come. It's been mentioned before that Courtney went independent at the beginning of this year and since then, the originals that she has released from her huge original library have been fabulous. Courtney is such a powerhouse as a songwriter, but because she is so spectacular vocally, not enough attention to that other aspect of Courtney's musical genius. You have quite a few rock songs of Courtney in your channels history. Her version of 'Old Town Road', 'Papa's Got s Brand New Bag', 'Pretty Little Thing', but here are a couple of more uptempo Courtney songs that I think would be great reactions: 'Sucker' and 'River Deep, Mountain High'. Note that this is Courtney playing her studio recording of it over a live stream, but many consider it one of Courtney's most spectacular vocal performances. Sept 29 2023 new song release hopefully a real banger...rumors are it's her MONSTER of a song "Monsters" which she slipped us all a snippet of via KZbin 'Shorts' awhile ago (has that been a year almost? idk). If she's releasing that song, you'll get your wish. It's big and wonderful, from just the snippet we got. Can't wait! I sure hope the rumors are true! She sold an album of Rock song covers. Sucker, Sign of the Times, Old Town Road. I think most of hers are better than the originals. She even did Can't Always Get What You Want by the Stones. All but one of her AGT songs were rock songs.
