The one closer to the front next the two violins is a cello. This guy is from the Netherlands and has other songs, also very good singer.

On the left is an electric bass and ("bass violin") a double bass - acoustic. Then on the right are (from right towards the middle) a cello, a viola and 2 violins

I always think this is a roadtrip song. When I first heard it I thought he covered some old U.S hit I didn't know, he does play blues too. This was an unexpected huge hit for him, as it's too long for radio he didn't try to get radio stations to play it but one channel played it on request and then listeners started calling in how they wanted to hear it again. Then it got the airplay in full.

When I first heard this song I thought it was by an artist from the US. I was surprised to find out he was Dutch. Loved it from the second I heard it.

@@anouk6644 It really has that classic song feeling and it stands out a lot in the normal radio offers. I already knew Danny Vera's music and he does do covers so my mind just jumped there. He had a nr1 hitsong in Turkey way back in the day but because it was all pirated he didn't make any real money out of that one. I'm glad he finally got the dutch airplay he deserved.

In the past this song was often on the radio in The Netherlands, many people had to stand along the highway because they were crying so much.

@@MugnifyRTS This was actually chosen as best song of all time in the Netherlands beating the usual Queen & Led Zeppelin songs. A bit plugged of course, but this song was broadcasted endlessly during the height of the Covid pandemia

Hi Mugetsu, everything is said already but one more thing to know; Danny Vera was in the same class as Floor from Nightwish at the Dutch Rock Academy. Just for you information. Greeting from The Netherlands

You should make that rap album with acoustic guitar 👊🏻 and the how you describe the way the violins/cello and contra bass make you feel, you should make that album with these acoustic instruments 👍🏻👊🏻 it would be awesome.

"And I will go, to farthest place on earth I know. I can travel all the roads, you see. 'Cause I know you're there with me.' That's what Danny Vera sings in his moving song Roller Coaster. Many relatives recognize themselves in Danny's words and play the song during their loved one's funeral. roller coaster In his touching song Roller Coaster Danny Vera sings about the highs and lows in everyone's life. Also in his own life. For example, the singer lost both his parents and a good friend of his committed suicide. "But wherever you go, those people are always with you," Danny says in an interview. Since the death of his parents, the singer lives in their Middelburg house. A magnolia grows in the garden, which he sings about in Roller Coaster. Danny's father planted this magnolia on his wife's birthday. Danny: "The magnolia is always in bloom on my mother's birthday."
