Это личная точка зрения (и ни кого насильно под свои знамена не зову): эта песня о любви (хотя не зная языка я не понимаю ни слова, просто мне так кажется, я так чувствую)... Так вот, когда эту песню исполняют западные певцы, то они исходят из следующего: любовь - это одно сплошное удовольствие, конфеты, цветы, комплименты, поцелуи... Вообщем все очень сладко, вкусно и мило. Диана дала миру другую версию любви: любовь - это много много боли и совсем немножечко удовольствия. Почему боли? А вам не знакома ситуация: вы влюбляетесь в человека, вы по нему буквально сходите с ума (почти в самом прямом смысле). А в ответ этот человек к вам холоден, безразличен, он вас не замечает. И от этого вам больно, очень больно, иногда эта боль из душевной переходит в физическую... На мой взгляд именно об этом поет Диана в своей версии (хотя повторюсь, что на истину в последней инстанции не претендую и мое мнение может быть и ошибочным).

I would do the following of her in this order: Rechenka (the talent show version) Derniere Dance. Wicked Game. Human. Me Voy. Then whatever you want from her, nothing is bad. I would also check out the performances of Ermine in the russian version of the masked singer ;) She is more than just another female singer, that right there is a voice for the ages. We are probably lucky to be on the same timeline as her and get to experience her grow into her talent, which is unique, unprecedented. And her backstory is tragic, which is bad, but also allows her to put emotion into her art unlike anyone before her. She is 20 years old!

Diana's voice (shockingly unique), is just the tip of the iceberg. I’ve never seen another performer that crushes virtually every mode of expression like she does. What I like most about Diana is how she overcame a rather tough start to life. Her birth mother was physically abusive and finally abandoned her in the street, in the middle of winter, at the age of 3. She ended up in an orphanage and would eventually suffer from nightmares, a nervous breakdown, and lingering speech problems. Her adoptive mother started Diana on singing lessons as one method of hopefully improving her verbal abilities. Despite all that she is now, by all accounts, a remarkably intelligent, poised, and humble young lady. To me, she is bravery, perseverance, and soul power personified. I get emotional just watching her, knowing how far she has come, never mind the otherworldly voice. By far, my favorite singer in the world. And yeah, her tessitura is crazy for a contralto but it’s that thunderous, rich, dark, resonant timbre that stands out for me. She’s a witch, enchantress, siren, sorceress... they all apply. I wish her all the best in this world. The gentleman who stood up is the well known Azerbaijani opera singer Yusif Eyvanov. He is married to the world class Russian soprano Anna Netrebko. Together they are opera royalty. Presumably, he would not be easy to impress. Both he and other members of the jury remarked at the amount of pure energy Diana was emitting. Yusif said he’s never felt anything like it in his life.

Here are three reasons why Diana (the Queen of Goosebumps) doesn't sound human. First, she is a contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich. Second, she has a spectacular larynx. She's been called the vocal Eighth Wonder of the World. Third, she is polyphonic, which means she can produce multiple harmonics within her voice at the same time. This is what allows her to sound like two people at once. (more below) When you add all that up you basically get a person who creates her own auto-tune. She doesn't need electronic auto-tune. She IS her own auto-tune. And the effect when you hear her is totally mind-blowing. It's like she's singing right through you, like a sword straight into your soul. Literally NOBODY else on the planet has a voice like hers. Greetings from Scotland! 18 years old and already such vocal power and stability through the whole range! Just the tip of the iceberg, believe me! Here is a short backstory so you can understand what created Diana. Diana is 19yo currently but I've been following her since she was around 13yo. Diana is a natural Dramatic Contralto so the lower registers are her comfort zone but she now has a 4 octave range and it's increasing. She also naturally sings with polyphonic overtones so it sounds like many voices at the same time! Diana's birthmother had multiple miscarriages but when Diana came along, she seemed to hate her. She verbally and physically abused her, trying to drown her and belittle her. It all culminated when (at 3yo) she dragged her to a bus stop with a broken collarbone and abandoned her, saying "Survive if you can" A passing relative took her in but because she cried constantly (naturally with a broken collarbone) she took her to the authorities who removed Diana from her birthmothers care and placed her in an orphanage. For almost 2 years Diana never gave up hope and she knew that she was meant for something better. (This story is in her Wikipedia entry) Finally her new mother (Irina Ponik, who worked as a masseuse there occasionally) Signed her adoption papers and took her home. She vowed to pay Irina back for her kindness. Irina had a real struggle because Diana had obviously been badly affected by the experiences and at 5yo, she had a very bad stammer. It was recommended that she be taken for singing lessons to help this and immediately it was recognised that Diana had perfect pitch and an excellent ear for music and songs. 1 year later, at 6yo, Diana was performing solo on stage! This young unique phenomenon sang everywhere and anywhere she could, working constantly to earn money for the family who rescued her. At 13yo she held her 1st solo concert and one of the songs she sang was in a very rare Sephardic Jewish/Spanish dialect, a song called "Me Voy" (I'm leaving) with a power and emotional commitment that staggers belief! kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y2rClGichdekpNE She was already winning every contest in Russia and other countries that she could get to. This EPIC performance was last year. She’s been performing since she was 4-5 years old in order to facilitate her speech as recommended by a doctor to her adopted mother. She was 18’ years old and no one sounds like her polyphonic and range. If you can possibly watch her SONG “Me VOY” it’s in SPANISH. She sings in several languages which is STUNNING in itself but her control is spectacular and sometimes she’ll sing with a jazzy style, rock 🎸🎶👸🏻🌟 or EPIC MASTERPIECE’s if she chooses. For you, and all those in your audience that may not know, this performance took place on September 25, 2021, and was Diana's performance during the first season of a new Russian vocal competition called the ShowMaskGoOn. Diana Ankudinova’s cover of the Elvis Presley classic Can't Help Falling In Love, clearly demonstrates Diana Ankudinova has developed into what many vocal professionals are saying is a true contralto voice type. Again, for those that don’t know a contralto is the lowest kind of female voice, and is very, very rare. Now, the vocal range helps to define a female singer's voice type, and in 2017, at 13, her vocal range measured from a low of D3 to a high of A5, which is very good for a 13-year-old girl. Diana has said she was not happy with her lack of a higher vocal range, and this lack kept her out of the more prestigious music academies. Diana, along with her vocal teacher decided to work extensively on developing her higher vocal range. In September of 2021, at age 18, her vocal range was again measured during this performance. her functional vocal range now goes from a low of C3 to a high of Bb5, almost 3-octaves. Diana’s upper range improvement is now on full display for all to hear. But it's not just how low she can go, it's the exceptional quality of her tone in her lower range. It's in the roundness, fullness, and depth of her voice, plus her ability to access, and use an enormous amount of resonance. Diana's ability to create and use resonance helps in further defining Diana as a "dramatic contralto", the rarest of the rare contralto voice types, and a dramatic contralto has the deepest, darkest sound, and is the most powerful contralto voice type. Near the end of this performance, the power of a “dramatic contralto” voice is on full display. The question people ask? How does Diana do it? How is it possible for a young female singer to achieve these low, rich, deep, profound sounds? Without actually scoping the vocal tract while she is producing those low notes to actually see what is happening within her vocal tract, the general conciseness is simply attributing Diana's ability to her hours of training with her vocal teacher, and winning the genetic lottery. She was just born with her unique vocal anatomy. Diana's vocal folds (vocal cords) appear to be longer and thicker than most female singers. Her larynx appears to be larger and her pharynx similarly appears to be longer than most female singers, plus she has a large oral cavity. When you combine all these attributes, this unique vocal anatomy gives Diana Ankudinova the ability to produce the low, deep, rich, and full sounds, she is known for, but without actually scoping the vocal track to verify, there is no way to be 100% sure. Diana is also a master at using a vocal technique known as polyphonic singing which is an extraordinary accomplishment for someone so young. A singer that has mastered polyphonic singing can create up to two, different tones at the same time which adds to the harmonic overtones and undertones that can make it sound like more than one voice singing. It is this polyphonic ability that has some people believing Diana Ankudinova is using some form of artificial electronic voice manipulation or is using some kind of pitch correction software to alter or adjust her sound. Others believe another person is singing in the background off stage, or Diana is lip-syncing over a previously recorded vocal track that was altered or modified. No artificial manipulation of Diana's voice is happening at all, and no one else is singing off stage, nor is she lip-syncing to a vocal track. Other voices and music you are hearing are all backing tracks used to fill in and round out the performance along with the musical score. Diana Ankudinova and only Diana Ankudinova is singing Can't Help Falling In Love. During the final week of the competition, Diana was the last to perform with her cover of "Can't Help Falling In Love" during the "TheShowMaskGoOn!", and Diana was competing against other professional singers who were also judges. This new vocal competition was televised over a nine-week period, one episode per week with other professional singers who were also judges competing against each other, and based on the individual performance they awarded points to each other. When not competing, Diana was also a member of this judging panel. Every week, a different singer took the stage and performed a different song over the nine weeks. Each contestant had to sing a song from a different genre using different styles. The ShowMaskGoOn! concluded on November 20, 2021. During Diana's performance, the man in the top row, who is the first to stand is the well-known Russian opera tenor, Yusif Eyvazov from Azerbaijan. Yusif was invited and accepted to participate as a special guest judge for this competition. Yusif Eyvazov is married to the world-famous Russian opera soprano Anna Netrebko. At the end of Diana's performance, she receives a standing ovation from all her fellow competitors, and one of those competitors is a well-known contemporary Russian singer, Julia Parshuta. She is the blond woman dressed in red who is standing in the center row and looks totally dumbfounded at the end of Diana's performance. Julia Parshuta puts both hands on top of her head, with a look of total shock and bewilderment. All judges now know they have been competing against someone who is a generational talent. Finally, Diana Ankudinova, finished by winning this new competition!

Diana won a scholarship and Igor Krutoy (Russian music titan, billionaire, juror and sponsor) gave her a small apartment (37m²/ 398.26 ft²) in Moscow. There she lives with her mother and grandmother and was able to start her vocal training with the best teachers such as Professor Olga Donskoy. (She died of Covid-19 in October 2020). Now Diana is taught by the great Alexandra Pismennaya, who was a student of Prof. Donskoy. Diana has something primal, mystical, but also sensitive and sensual in her voice and she lives her songs.
