Oh, and he is now Dr. Qudaibergen. He completed his doctoral studies in the spring of 2023. All three of his degrees are in music. He is a genius. You may find him singing Opera with ease and grace, paying musical tribute to Michael Jackson doing a cheeky 007 type video or making Fredy Mercury look even better. He often mixes Opera and Contemporary in one song. His current octave range is above 7 octaves as he can sing deep bass up to notes past the treble piano keyboard. His vocal works are stunning no matter what Genera he sings in.

Welcome to Dimash! The amazing thing is that this isn't even close to the full extent of his range or skills. Keep checking out all of his pieces, everything has something different and special! This song is special and has a lot of history. It's the song he performed on the Chinese television show "Singer" (2017, season 5), a competition show that put him in the global spotlight. Picture this: youngest performer in the history of the show, doesn't speak the language, a virtual unknown outside of his home country of Kazakhstan. The first night of competition he is the first to perform and he sings this song. He not only shocks EVERYONE and goes viral, but every other competitor then had to perform AFTER HIM! I highly recommend that season, there were great performances not only by Dimash but many other talented artists! Since then Dimash has perfected the song and it's become a bit of a calling card. He sings in 16 languages, plays seven instruments, and performs in nearly every musical genre out there. His fan base are called "Dears" and we are all over the world; he puts a great emphasis on breaking down barriers and bringing people together through music and it's a really beautiful community. Dimash Qudaibergen (di-MOSH Koo-dye-BEHR-gen) is a talented artist from Kazakhstan who began his formal training at the age of 5. He is professionally trained in opera, contemporary music, and musical theater. His diverse discography includes genres such as pop, R&B, EDM, rock, folk/traditional, neo-classical, opera, and even rap and hip-hop with a vocal range of 7+ octaves: C1-D8(which doesn't exist on a standard 88-key piano). Qudaibergen has performed songs in 15 languages and is fluent in Russian and Kazakh while also possessing some proficiency in English and Chinese. “SOS” is from a rock opera from Quebec 1978. It’s about suicide and depression. The singer finds his mate dead from suicide, and closes her eyes, hence the last sentence, “Sleep, Child, sleep.” IMHO, Dimash sings it far better than anyone else ever has. Thanks for your reaction! Thank you for discovering Dimash and welcome to a beautiful world of music. Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers. His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of daily hard training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. And at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 23, 2022 he sang in 7 languages in one concert! And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 16 or 17 languages so far). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 in Almaty, Kazakhstan was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄. He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audiende to be seen or heard. SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978 and it's in French. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione. SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time. Please also react to The Singer competition as soon as you can. If you want to see another jaw-dropping song than I recommend Stranger. The greatest singer in the world and highly addictive once you hear him. Dimash is from Kazakhstan. Eurasian by DNA. He began his classical/operatic vocal and instrument training at age five. He is tall at 6'3". Athletic, kind, honest, compassionate, giving, honorable, of high moral standards and you will often see him walking through an airport, surrounded by fans and someone will hold out their baby or small child and he gladly wraps it in his arms and carries it around as he says hi to everyone. Welcome to the phenomenon that is Dimash! This is a live recording taken from his Digital Concert recorded in 2021 because his live concerts were cancelled during Covid lockdown. This was his way of giving his Dears (fans) a live concert & to raise money for the Covid cause.
