600,000 calls after he left the stage crashed Hunan tvs system. He and his Dad left immediately, exhausted, went to the hotel and crashed. By 3 am the next morning, crowd control, security and police could barely stem the mob of fans. Unknowing, early the next am, their elevator door opened to this mob, Dimash grabbed his Dad yelling, something terrible has happened, are we safe ? as hands reached thru the mob pulling them to a waiting car that sped off while the situation was explained. Dimash yelled again Stop the car !! You've got the wrong guy !! I'm a kid from Aktobe ! I sang one song on tv! STOP this car !! His Dad grinning ear to ear. He laughingly told this story 5 years later in a tv interview looked down for a second, up into the camera and said I meant it. The audience came unglued he was so serious and so did I ! Yes, Dimash is amazing. His "Unforgetable Day" includes notes that above what a piano can play. But his "Olimpico" done at an outdoor stadium in 2019 was far more theatrical and impressive. His "Opera 2" from 2017 was very impressive too.

There wasn’t any family at this performance. The people behind, were the competitors, all professional well established artists in China. Dimash was invited as a wild card, from a different country and the youngest competitor. This performance brought him you tube fame and made him a star in China. I saw it myself on you tube five years ago and have watched him every day since. Also been to two concerts, Latvia and Dubai. I can’t get enough. And I am 77 year old U.K. lady. (Christine)

Hi Christine, Just FYI, I am also a 77yr old Brit, but living in the USA. I went to his Prague concert in April this year. I only first heard him about 7 mos. ago but watch/listen every day. To Michael, listen to ALL The Singer performances, Then go to later concerts, MV's and any new releases he does. You will find the greatest singer of all time, imho, and he is only getting better. SOS was the first performance of the China competition and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card. He also was the youngest in the history of this competition. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time. Please react to The Singer competition and if possible the stories behind. You can find them on the Gloria Wu Channel. As far as I know, on this channel there are no copyright issues. And I always recommend switching on the subtitles, if available. There are a lot of beautiful, sad and awesome songs to discover. If you want to know a little more about Dimash, then I suggest you to watch the video from Opera 2 where his father was in the audience. However, Dimash knew nothing about it when he performed. You have to imagine, until this competition in China in 2017 he never was alone. As far as I know, he lived in one house with the whole family, grandparents, parents and a sister and brother and some relatives. And now he had to go to China alone, doesn’t know the country, doesn’t know the language and up until then he (almost) didn't speak any English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 19 so I can imagine…) And after that performance he saw his dad. Indescribably beautyful and emotional. During the Opera 2 performance, he flirted with the audience in a way that wasn’t really his style at the time (fortunately that has changed in the meantime). And afterwards he said that he was really uncomfortable that his father saw him like that 🤭. Luckily he didn’t find out until afterwards because I love it when he’s like that on stage🥰. He has 10 more performances from this show available to watch! Watch 2nd, 3rd and so on. He was 22 years old then. He is now 28 and has done so many things since. He is a world renowned vocalist. You cannot call Dimash just a singer. He has an 8 octive range. You will see. Dimash has been known to sing in 12 different languages. Watch everything he has done. And so castrati were famous for their vocal range, but the last one died about 150 years ago. This man's voice is amazing, but he either removed them himself or he had medical reason to have them removed!!!

Noooo!!! He is not a castrata! If he was, he wouldn't be able to hit the low notes!! His singing voice didn't lose its higher range during puberty and his vocal coaches helped him to retain the high register with continued training. 🤗🎼🎵🎶🎤

So so many songs by Dimash that are absolutely stunning, Sinful Passion, Love Is Like A Dream, Ikanaide, Unforgettable Day, Know. The list is endless. English, Hello, My Heart Will Go On covers, We Are One about Covid, Fly Away, Be With Me for starters. He is the best in the world. I say that with no doubt in my mind.

No autotune! Wings of Pegasus has many cool analyses of many performers' songs showing visually how autotune looks onscreen while the song plays. Once you see and hear the difference, your ear starts to pick out the mechanical flatness of an autotune song. Not to say that some very capable singers haven't had their songs "improved" later by some misguided production company. I remember hearing one Dimash song for a production not under his control, that unfortunately (and pointlessly) was autotuned along with the other singers' performances. It strips out the nuances and depth of tone. Can't remember which performance that was, but it was the only time I'm aware of that being done to a Dimash song.

I just noticed that you have already reacted to stranger. So I will recommend from that same date and time on his KZbin channel, Ave Maria but it is not the one that you may be thinking of. The man at the piano is Igor Krutoy a famous composer and record producer and now collaborating often with Dimash. Dimash asked him three months before that venue to write him an aria and probably gave him specific octaves and notes he wanted to use and of course Igor obliged. Ave Maria is the immaculate result of that collaboration.

Thank you for your great reaction to Dimash. You’ve seen nothing at all. Three reactions are nothing to comprehend this stunning vocalist😁. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (C1(B0) - D8 off the piano) At least what he has shown us so far. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. And meanwhile in 13 languages (the new one is Ikanaide in Japanese). But many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and rare interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague, before he performed his song War and Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And I absolutely believe this. S.O.S es un aria particularmente difícil de una ópera rock contemporánea francesa escrita en 1978 titulada Starmania, que antes han interpretado los cantantes Daniel Balavoine y Gregory Lemarchaly. Fue la primera presentacion en el concurso The Singer, del 2017 ara cantantes profesionales, en donde fue el unico invitado extanjero y el mas joven. Dimash tenia ahi 22 años y nacio el 24 de mayo de 1994. Luego de esa presentacion paso en 24 horas, de ser un artista relativamente desconocido , a precisar guardaespaldas. En ese concurso Dimash canto unas 12 canciones y quedo en 2do lugar. Es un artista increible y un ser humano maravilloso
